If we're calling stuff out nathan needed to manage the game better to work with what he had. He only kicked early to the corner once. He was going through the motions which didn't let fatigue be lopsided in Panthers favour.

Jenkins or BS on the bench would have been a fair call. Both was weird. I assume in Ivans head Jenkins to center and Garner is the 3rd forward, doesn't work like that in reality though.

No but game management is his job as halfback. In those conditions kicking to corners turning the forwards around making their backs take twice the carries all of a sudden cows are gassed and can't attack at the end of the game.

Yeah Ivan screwed up but that doesn't take away from other issues like Kenny or the fact the attack was so bad when they had all the possession and field position. If the same Nathan that played the broncos showed up this week they win by 30 regardless of Ivan's weird selections. The bench would've just made it tough for the last quarter when fatigue is at its worst. Before that there should've been a healthy lead.

Maybe they should go back to the 2 referee system.
A lot of the coaches and fans are complaining about the quality of the referees.

It will be worse, the more people making decisions in a game the more interpretations there will be.
This is why the games are already inconsistent, different ref, different interpretations.
People just need to deal with it, they will never be perfect.
When the players stop making errors and giving away cheap penalties it takes the ref out of the game.
The problem I have is that we complain when the game is over reffed and complain when there are no penalties.
The game will never be perfect and the better teams more often than not win.

I think the 30 is a little deceptive. Talagi had a good individual game but the attack was like a lost schizophrenic lamb for a lot of the time and like I said Nathan really never pressured them consistently making them work harder than necessary.

If our forward stocks are down that much, it makes no sense to play Garner who is a Backrower in the Centres. I don’t care if he is a better option at the moment over Casey but we needed to be able to keep our replacements fresher for longer.
The real question though has to be why pick a 14 and then not use him at all even when Kenny was making stupid decisions under fatigue. Toelau
would’ve one on and created carnage around the ruck last night.

Bench talk is overated. We scored 30 points and were the better team for most of the game.

Discipline once again cost us a win. Some really poor moments from individuals in the second half. They've got two weeks to think it over (Longer for some with Origin selections next week).

Yeah a draw is definitely an upgrade on a loss.

Also thought Leota had arguably his best game of the year. Garner was really strong too. A double in the centres. Not a bad night out.

Bizza was rusty but had some flashes of the beast we have missed. It wasnt all bad. But the game was there to be won and our hooker failed epically all night at getting the ball to the right player. Ivan failed at giving us a decent alternative on the bench.

Sommerton earned s spot last week. Its karma he didn’t get it and we lost largely because our 9 made poor decisions at crucial times

I thought To’o was ok, glad he is back. Very rusty with a couple of drops, and a bad miss 8 minutes from time coming in from his wing to allow Derby to score in the corner and bring the game back to 22-30. Some decent runs though, but it seemed like his hammy was still bothering him when he busy through the line in the second half. Guess he never needs to make that tackle if the potato L Smith doesn’t blatantly strip the ball.

Leota was ok too. Garner should never had been taken off and replaced with Jenkins. I firmly believe that was another factor that cost us the game.

Seriously burns my piss that we can be up by 12 with 9 mins to go and royally f**k it up through poor discipline.
