Round 10 Vs Warriors

So happy mansour has been dropped he has been atrocious especially in defence.

Edwards’s deserves a shot at redemption, has been playing well in reserve grade.
Players need to know spots are based on form.

Fox seem to thing Ellis to lock and JFH into 2 row which is odd but does highlight how crap our depth is.

All predictions are we will once again waste a team spot with a second hooker and no luai

Luia not named in Canterbury Cup, so must be on the bench.

I don’t rate him as a hooker at all.

Yeah, not sure what Aekins did to get dropped? I know a lot of fullbacks bark out instructions to the defensive line and maybe we weren't getting this from him? Mansour had to finally been dropped (for me, in hindsight, probably 3 or 4 weeks late) but can't keep picking on reputation.

Aekins may not have been the problem, but he's hardly set the world on fire. If Edwards has been killing it in the reserves I don't mind him getting a shot at redemption.

FWIW i've been a big defender of Edwards, so happy he's back.

But Aekins was given a very short period to show his worth & has done more than enough in NSW Cup to deserve a real shot. Looked more than solid i thought & something different to what we have - footwork & acceleration.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has named his squad to face New Zealand Warriors at Panthers Stadium on Friday.

Winger Brian To'o (pronounced TO-OH) has been named to make his NRL debut as Panther No.585 while Dylan Edwards returns at fullback.

Josh Mansour and Caleb Aekins have been named to play for the Panthers Canterbury Cup side on Saturday.

Sione Katoa starts at hooker with Wayde Egan ruled out due to a shoulder injury.

Having served his one-match suspension, Liam Martin will start at lock and Kaide Ellis is retained on the bench at the expense of Reagan Campbell-Gillard.

The Panthers will wear the black 2019 Home Jersey.

He had a bit of footwork, but I really didn't see the acceleration. I don't watch a ton of NSW Cup, so maybe he wasn't showing it in first grade for whatever reason.

Ivan is f**king braindead. Fuimaono gets to keep a spot? Based on f**king what? Being the worst centre to pull on our jersey in a decade and also a shit second rower? Gotta love his versatility to be shit in 2 positions.

I think it was harsh on Aekins too... his NRL form was better than Edwards was. Dropping Mansour is awesome news and hopefully Edwards takes this chance with both hands to warrant replacing a guy who wasnt that bad.

RCG dropped is probably fair enough. But makes little sense when worse players with no upside have kept a spot.

Fair is fair. It was Hooks 2 wins and 7 losses in 2017 that turned me off him for good. Im now off Ivan for good also. Deadset f**k our board for knocking back Bennett.

Excited for the team changes. If we can’t manage to get a win then I hope we at least go back to being competitive, feels like a while since we’ve even been close to that.
