Blair was better than last week. His defence was the most committed and dominant I've seen from him in a few years.

He was a long long way from matching Woods efforts in attack though.

Benji was controlled and allowed Sironen to play more of his natural game, which was surprising and refreshing to see. It's exactly what needs to happen as well to ensure he gets back to his best in attack.

Both wingers were great, Simona's defence was a million times better than last week.

Farah though was the best player on the field by a mammoth margin.

One of the great wins, in horrible conditions. It was really pissing down out there in the second half.

Sironen was excellent. Definitely his best game in first grade and based on that I can see why he is highly rated. Farah 's work rate was exceptional. Blair much improved though still needs to do more in attack. But his defense was much improved so a good start.

We are still carrying a couple of passengers like Thompson and Pettybourne but overall everyone put in a great effort.

Marshall's defense was improved too but thought he was poor otherwise. That dropout!!??

Tedesco also had a great game I thought. Put his body on the line time and time again, took a couple of hits and to his credit soldiered on. Don't want to start the Moltzen bashing again but if he were at fullback I dare say we lose tonight.

Tedesco was immense. I thought that was his best game in the top grade, he really put his body on the line. Benji was really good, didn't overplay his hand and apart from the dropout his kicking game was good. Would still like to see anasta and sirro switch positions, sironen has a really good running game. Blair was improve but still gave a few unnecessary penalties away and dropped a few balls. Farah is just a tigers legend, and woods will be!

Last night we saw our first glimpses of the type of footy Potter wants us to play.

Benji has finally learnt to take a backseat in the halves, that coupled with a win could hopefully see him & the team continue to improve on the style & game plan from last night.

I was most impressed with our goal line defence. So many try saving tackles made.

That was a great effort. Benji was great. Blair was pretty good.

Still too many mistakes especially from senior players namely Robbie, Blair and Anasta. We got lucky out there.

That young back 3 though are impressive. They are all heart. I'm really starting to like Tedesco. Nofo has been great and those penalties against Koro were just crapola.

Thompson was also really good. Siro was great as well but I'm not sure if he has the soft hands to be a half. He looks though like he is going to be a real good player as well. He busted them and caused problems all night.

I have to watch the game again but I thought apart from that line break towards the end Benji was VERY ordinary. I do like how he didn't cut out Sironen last night but he did not look threatening at all and made his usual piss poor mistakes. That dropout was just a joke.

I still think we are carrying a couple of passengers like Thompson and Pettybourne though they all put in last night and that's all we've been asking for. The effort was excellent.

Our left hand edge defence on our try line was enormous! We looked short a few times and koro stuck to his winger because he trusted simona to make the tackle which he always did. If the wingers did jam in they made sure that the player was stopped in their tracks, normally we get beaten on the outside.

And hybrid tiger, benji was good last night. He didn't overplay his hand, chimed in when needed, kicked well apart from one dropout and played a part in a few tries by straightening the attack and getting the ball out wide early. Those conditions don't suit his style but I thought he played well!

How would you rate Farah, Woods, Tedesco, Sue and even Blair if Marshall was great?

I think Benji was better than all of them. Robbie came up with too many mistakes. Blair was much improved.

Tedesco looks quality and he is tough as nails. I just think he needed to make a bust or two but he was great.

I don't Benji's game was on the same planet as Farah's !!! Robbie Farah bleeds tiger blood. Absolute legend !!!

Don't get me wrong. Farah and Woods have carried us this year and his game last night was sensational. I sort of expect that but the dropped ball was bad and one of his little kicks was telegraphed so much that Bowen just stood there and took it. I think it would have been better if on that play he did something else.

Benji helped create that final try. His drop out was crud and that first clearing kick was terrible but apart from that he was great. The thing is when the game needed to be won Benji got involved without over playing his hand and took the right option. I think Farah didn't take the right option on a couple of occasions.

I agree these guys are trying hard but Pettybourne highlighted our need to have a top line second rower. Conditions were shocking I know but twice he dropped the ball cold and had he held it we score on both occasions. These were the balls Ellis was hanging onto....

Reasonable effort against another seriously out of form team, most other teams with 60% of ball would have smacked the tiges. The conditions probably saved us a bit. But the boys showed a bit of character, toiled away for a deserved win. Keep going fellas.

Turnovers too high with 17 errors.
The other stat that's a concern is that only one tiges forward ran more than 100m while cowboys had four

Great defensive effort with only 19 (good in light of the weight of possession against them) missed tackles and a massive 346 made, as opposed to opposition 22 missed and 250 made.

Sorry to the fellow I upset posting woods stats early, promise it won't happen again

Massive win.
Awful conditions, a truckload of players out, new combinations all over the pitch, confidence at all time lows... To come out and gut out a win in any shape or form is a tremendous effort.
Great to get a week off to rest the injuries too.
