I don't know where Friend is, and I was just notified about these changes. I'd imagine that Shackelton will move to lock, and Kouperitsis to the second row, so will just put that in.

Apparently Friend is being dropped. Friend > Jones as hooker, seeing as Jones probably won't play five eighth, and isn't needed in the centers, his only other position would be fullback.

Anasta won't be happy one would imagine.

I'm happy with those changes tbh. Anasta is a great bull runner and is very good in open space so this could be good for him. Tansey I haven't seen play at hooker but I imagine he is decent (can't be much worse than Jaubs) and this may be the motivation Sa needs to spark again, he had a great game at 5/8 last year against the dogs so hopefully he can repeat that.

It can, it was confirmed on the footy show.

I would rather see a team like this from our current available players, this is IMO a pretty strong team taking into account injuries. I think I have forgotten someone, but it's pretty good. Imagine it with Minichiello, Cherrington, Soliola etc back and Carney, and a hooker (in the mould of Michael Monaghan) and a mobile prop. Looks pretty good to me!

TBH, that's what should happen, but if this gets us a win, it is good in the short term, but when some injured players return we really need to look towards the future. That means blooding a few youngsters, deciding what position everyone will play and put them there, and keep them there.
