The ref blaming is getting out of hand on here. He might be a shit referee. But we have a much better roster and if we play well we will win regardless of him. Outside of a few top teams I dont think referees can really screw us this year.

Like a few dud calls against Dragons or Storm would kill us. But against Tigers I think we win if we're switched on regardless. They are a tough team. But we are tough aswell and have more class in our roster.

Yeah if we lose it'll be because something we do or the Tigers do.

Panthers coach Anthony Griffin has named his side to face Wests Tigers at Panthers Stadium on Thursday.

Halfback Nathan Cleary is set to return from a medial ligament injury while Peter Wallace misses out due to a minor shoulder injury sustained in last week's win over Newcastle.

Sione Katoa will start at hooker and James Maloney assumes the captaincy.

The Panthers will wear the 2018 Home Jersey.

Could see them playing Luai at 14 ahead of Egan or May as they both played 80mins on Sunday so only 4 day turnaround plus Luai could cover Cleary & can play some hooker

There may be a case for the Bulldogs loss..
If that call happened in the 79th minute. Yes. But not so early in a game.

We played like shit in all of our losses and even a couple of our wins. Our roster is good enough to overcome those things against all but 3 or 4 teams.

If Souths are the real deal. We couldnt overcome bad cslls against them. Dragons. Storm and maybe Roosters.

Im not sold on Souths yet though. I cant see them maintaining form.

Our advantage is we have been winning while playing poorly and having injuries. We can easily get better. Dragons cant. Neither can Souths IMO. They are at or near 100%.

Hell last year we weren't remotely decent until Round 10 and didnt really reach potential to round 20. If we follow that same improvement curve we could be unbeatable.

That would be pretty good. We should have a full roster except (R.I.P) Edwards by that point. Our end of year run/finals has the potential to be something special. Get Cleary some origin development like Moylan in 2016.

A full strength Penrith can beat anyone on their day easily

If you look at our squad it’s mainly fringe 1st graders playing out of their skin. With the addition of some seasoned first graders, yet we overcame Melbourne in Melbourne with a 18-8 penalty count against us. Penrith just need mental toughness, which they seem to have based off the last few weeks

Katoa seemed to struggle at times to get to the ruck in time when he started v Dogs. So the extra hooker is better but the short turnaround like you say might be the plan

That is my point. Our pack with now 2 halves should beat most teams especially with the fortress we have made home now

Whether we like it not the on field official's and those in the bunker are having a major influence in the outcome of games. Let's hope tommorrow night is controversy free.

I agree we should beat the West Tiger's. But it would be nice for once to be talking about a great win, full of exciting & fluent attacking play rather than just ' getting the job done '.

Other than maybe our win in Townsville, I haven't seen us deliver a convincing victory which has 'top four' contender written all over it. Hope to see one very soon, tough 6-8 weeks ahead.

Wallace will be out for a couple of weeks according to Griffin. Kayoa/Egan will get some good game time.

Fantastic news. Wallace can get freshened up and we can see what those guys really offer now.

If they arent an upgrade. Wallace returns as expected. If they do improve us. Well I hope he can make the czll that hgives us our best chance at a premiership

It will take a few weeks for our attack to come but defence should be better with the changes

Only you would see an injury to our Captain as “Fantastic News”.

It sucks for Wal.
