Raiders tough side to beat..We lacked the ability to win scrappy in the past and I'm glad we did now because a game where the lead changes multiple times is usually not a happy one for us.

notes from today for tomorrow's review.
TEAM
Must play the ball properly
never turn your back on an acting team
never stop defending & assuming a penalty
COACH
Rest Graham
Rest Nighty
Rethink bench
Bring in Lomax
I couldnt agree more....we were very ordinary today barring two great efforts by Dufty we were way off the paceWe haven’t recovered well from the game against Melbourne. Compounding that is poor bench use, AGAIN. A wins a win but I have serious concerns over Nighty(consistently picked off in defence) & Graham(looking injured & too often at 1st or 2nd receiver stifling our attack).
On that performance Penrith won’t be too concerned.
In a tight game like that, even though it looked liked ISP, it's not a good time to bring in a rookie.I agree dont understand why you dont at least give the young bloke 5 minutes, it would be good experience. What am i missing ?
Hear you DQ but the coach has said he needs them to get the experience so they can fill in when the rep players are away. I just dont see how siting on the bench achieves that.In a tight game like that, even though it looked liked ISP, it's not a good time to bring in a rookie.
Nightingale has scored 1 try in 11 games!!!Yes mate sadly have to agree re Flo...he doesnt add that much these days.....and when you take into consideration we hardly use our 17th player...we can do better by adding some more troops to our 80 minutes...if you know what I mean
Tough to watch but we got the win, the second half was easier to watch after visiting the fridge in the second half !
Yeah that was our 3rd infringemnt for the play the ball..lucky Nighty got away with it..the others were JDB and Frizz....just have to cut this out of our game..it could cost us some dayAlso shhh we scored that off a ptb that should have been called back but I'll take it
When is it time though? Even when we belt teams our bench use is sh*t(think of Robson vs Storm). In a tight game like that, even though it looked liked ISP, it's not a good time to bring in a rookie.

Yes you wont get an argunent from me thereNightingale has scored 1 try in 11 games!!!
Any other winger would be dropped in any other team.....Mann to the wing......
nighty is turning into michael hancock.
400 metres sideways for a gain of 1.
I agree with you but we needed experience in that game. We could have easily lost that game to inexperience and lost a couple of points. Not impressed with how we played, but then again I wasn't impressed with our reserve grade yesterday either. We got lucky today.Hear you DQ but the coach has said he needs them to get the experience so they can fill in when the rep players are away. I just dont see how siting on the bench achieves that.

lack of urgency...they team looked like this was a trial game....very scrappy..Heres the good news - win or lose next week after round 13 we will still be on top of the comp 13 weeks straight and even better news we would have trotted out the same starting 13 - 12 games straight - a NRL all time record...
The team played awfully today but the raiders are such an on and off team that it would be hard to plan to play against them - seriously 2 of the Raiders tries would never be scored in a semi final scenario - our superiority is such that we play well beyond par and still win games with gas left in the tank....
in saying all that we have massive problems w Nightingale.....
