If this was last year I would be very happy we got the win because I would have looked back to 2016 & be happy with any win.
Today’s was different in the sense that we are still talking about our bench selection/use, Nighty and a stuttering attack.
Sure, not all wins will be pretty but there are concerns given we all have short memories when it comes to a similar position in 2017.
Screw all that mate.
Celebrate the wins!
We won! We scored a couple of cracking tries! Sure it was a weird game and we were far from great but we won against Ricky Stuarts mob!
Woooooohaaaaa!!!!
Up the Dragons! First place, 9 wins and 2 losses!

no. your one eyed view and too much emotional investment in a football team could be skewing your view of things. Eg Nightingale play the ball should've CLEARLY been pulled up by the refs.

"Refs are always against us, blah blah blah"

It's horseshit.

But go on, feed your little 'poor bugger me' syndrome. Been there, done that.

I've always been fair to both sides about the refs and any comment l make are regarding both teams, not just the Dragons.
It is you who has thoughts for one team only, by assuming l was only talking about Saints.
So before you decide to assume, try putting the brain into gear before you action it.
Go away and annoy yourself.
I don't wish to waste anymore time trying to adjust to your level.

Considering the Raiders played as good as they did, yet still only scored 2 of their tries from blatant falling asleep by our defenders, should actually be a positive after that.

Fix that shit up next time (should be an easy lesson after today) and we will be right.
Fix what up? Other teams just don't concede tries like that - ever...
Canberra conceded 8 points while Rapana was in the bin.
We won by 7.
How positive can you be?

Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the game - but doesn’t sound like it was too pleasant.

Clearly we have some issues - but which team doesn’t? I’d rather be a team leading the competition with things to work on, rather than a team with the best coach or had everything worked out but sitting in the bottom half.

I saw the highlights - that Widdop try and Dufty - wow! Love that stuff. It’s fine to say we’ve won a few games because of individual brilliance but can’t rely on that for the rest of the season. Not sure what sport or even competition doesn’t have a team that wins competitions without some players capable of individual brilliance. To be able to win a competition you need a player or two capable of turning games for you - with Dufty/Hunt and Widdop we have that.

Absolutely bemused how Lawrie didn’t get any game time, getting sick of the 16 player trick.

I still see it as a positive, we got 2 points. The key to a great season is winning games when you’re not playing well, or getting results in games that in years gone by you would’ve lost - we’ve managed to do that.

If we win 6 of our next 14 we are playing finals. Win 7 of them I believe we are top 6. Win 9 top 4. What a great foundation to build our season on.

So, we won!
2 points is 2 points no matter how you look at it. We stand alone on top of the ladder, effectively on 20 or 22 depending on the Panthers game and unless there's a massive blowout (some 53 points or more) we will remain on top approaching the rep season.
There are definitely signs of repeating previous seasons, however, the difference this year is that it appears other teams are experiencing the same phenomenon this year, Storm, Broncos, Cowboys come to mind. Even Roosters are having trouble getting their act together.
All we can do is keep winning, ugly or as flukey as you want, its still 2 points.
Playing finals football is becoming more likely than not as each week passes, lets get on board and support the players, rather than trying to pick their faults, after all they all wear the famous Red V.

Well said Dragonslayer, being on this form is what i imagine going to AA would be like.

Whereas I believe.

I have been in favour of more penalty goals when behind for quite a while. If you look at the statistics of penalties received within kicking range that are usually not taken due to being behind by more than 2, and assume that every one of those was taken, the score is often higher than the tries scored for the rest of the game
I agree. If you look at the stats of when teams chose to take the tap instead of go for goal, I think that teams score less than one in 3 times they take the tap. It also stops opposition teams giving away penalties.

100% right.
Can you imagine if we were the storm, grubs, rorters, cowboys, titans and all the others?

We have people slitting their throats when all we have to do is get to the top 4 ...and the whole thing starts again anyway.

Go through the motions now, get to the top 4, and then whammm, from there it's anyones!!

Name a team that hasn't played some shit games this year?

Well they aren't in front of us lol.
