The Eels forwards are going to be absolutely destroyed this weekend, as like the past decade, a wonderful time to wear the number 7. You could have the biblical Moses as halfback and it wouldn't matter in this team. That doesn't mean that Moses gets a free pass either, no other halfback has in this "community". He is very similar to Sandow (in defence, Sandow was better in attack) and will be exposed accordingly. No point lying to yourself anymore.

The cycle continues and I'm guessing Arthur is the next to find out what happens when you recruit badly.

I'm guessing the rebuilding years end when the new stadium is open?

As bad as he might be, Moses is better in defence than Sandow.

In attack he's as good as Norman.

Both him and Norman are not natural halfbacks in my opinion, they are athletic imitations of the position, hence why Arthur was so desperate to find someone he deemed "dominant" half approved. Little does he know...

Gutherson should move to centre - Taka to 5/8. Once Normans fit it is where he will be. I do not think Taka was better or worse then Gutherson at 5/8 but I do reckon Gutherson would be better in centres then Taka. Atleast defensively.

Taka isn't a five-eight's bootlace. He's just an opportunist who can do some interesting things with the ball. Moses will need a steadier partner until he gets used to Parra's style of play. Gutho to 5/8. He's no specialist half either, but he's better able to direct things around than Taka.

I have paid my dues and I have earned the right to criticise this team.

Moeroa and Takairangi won't just be protecting Mitch when it comes to making tackles. They will also have to be communicating with him, telling him to slide on his line a lot.

Moses isn't afraid to tackle. His problem is his technique. It is just woeful. He's only small, yet he tries to tackle standing tall. He gets swatted away so often and so easily.

He gets caught flat footed on the line a lot and becomes a massive target every time. Canberra will be sending their back rowers at him all game, as they have done everytime they played the Tigers.

Moses has had 1 win from 6 games against the Raiders. In those games the Raiders scored 233 points to the Tigers 76.

I'm still amazed you guys bought him and for so much. Gutherson had as much upside and much less downside.
