in that case why not send him in to get fixed now? why play him and risk making the injury worse get him 100% for next year

I know, I know... my post was a little toungue in cheek...

though I'm getting a little bit tired of having recruits come to the club who then need to take time off for ailments physical and/or mental, all at our expense I assume? Mossop and his bung shoulders, Sandow and his gambling issues, Foran and his hammy followed by his breakup and subsequent OD and now he needs rehab on his shoulder...

Our ROI for these blokes is so far in the red it's positively blinding!!

I think we need to look for a prop once a decision is made on Norman. We don't need a top line prop but someone up to NRL standard. Also need to re-sign wicks.

I think we need to play a bit of 'moneyball' and find the right front rower for our needs. We need at least one, if not two forwards, who just know how to receive the ball on the advantage line, run straight and hard, prioritise playing the ball quickly and make little errors. Melbourne seem to be able to get players in who just do a job, I don't see why we can't.

I'd prefer they rub that part out of their game.

Maybe, he definitely has potential to be a lot better. But watching the last few weeks, I don't think it's lack of effort, it's more how he is being used. He doesn't get a lot of opportunities to show his running game, it's more taking a run on the 3 / 4 the tackle for a settler.

He's obviously still young, and like you I believe the way he is being played isn't helpful. He, like all our players though, would be a lot more effective if they received the ball on the advantage line, rather than 3-5 metres behind it.

Knights are like us back in 11/12/13 have some talented juniors but the experience they do have isn't the right players. Think some of those guys have massive futures. On us it's good to see we have turned the corner and dig our heels in and get through the hard stuff when needed.

Foran will be a big loss but Norman needs to step up hugely.

Good debut from French. And I don't think releasing Gordon is a good thing if in fact that's true. We need his calm head at the back.

Gutherson is getting better as the season goes on too

alvaro is a funny one. sometimes he gets dominated, other times he keeps the legs pumping and gains more metres, but at least its a mixture each game. definitely more upside than peni. I reckon alvaro can provide far more consistency than peni.

EELS legend Nathan Hindmarsh has been forced to apologise to Parramatta forward Danny Wicks over a remark after last night’s game in Newcastle referring to his time in jail for drug dealing.

As Wicks was being interviewed after the game, Hindmarsh said: “Bit of a game plan tonight about offloading the pill but you got caught a few times in possession.”

Wicks went along with it at the time but this morning his agent Steve Gillis lodged an official complaint with Fox Sports boss Steve Crawley.

“I just said to them I thought it was inappropriate,” Gillis said.

Hindmarsh then rang Wicks to personally apologise.

The network has also removed the remark from the Matty Johns show replay on their website.

It's so sad to see a legend used by Pelicans like Matty Johns in this way, he needs to move on from being a target and laughing stock .

Not as sad as watching him try to play football ever since he became shit halfway through 2006.

His become an absolute fool.

His the first to bag Parra, never has anything good to say while everyone else defends they're respective teams he lays the boot in.

Every club legend we have is either bitter or dumb.

Shit like this is unnecessary publicity during our current struggles.

It never ends.

Sterlo? Although he doesn't have great track record of hyping up players who turn to poo. But that may also be his blue & gold tonsils talking
