This game just took on a whole new dimension with the injury to gower. God I hope penrith's kicking game improves a whole lot on last weeks efforts without gower.

No Gower in this one. not too sure how good your back up is. Who is your backup half back?

Dogs fowards feeling the effects of Origin.

Will be a close match!

It's likely that preston campbell will move to half girdler to 5/8 and paul whatuira will come off the bench into the centers.

Only other posibility would be for daniel russel to come into 5/8 and preston campbell to go to half. I honestly can't tell you how good russell is especially in the top grade, only made his debut last week and that was in the centres.

I think in a game against a side like the a.d.h.d's a more settled experience half combo is needed so girds to 5/8 campbell to half and fatz into the centres and galea onto the bench 8)

It's arguable whether girds is really all that more experienced in terms of being a 5/8, as a player? Yes. As a 5/8? Debatable.

This is the time to give your second string half a go and keep Preston where he is girdler is over the hill, over rated and can bearly hold down his centre position, so dont play him 5/8 or your are gooooone.

As someone said to me 'This will test our depth' and for sure it will we have always had the forwards & wingers backing up and not letting us down now it's the real test. Hopefully they will give Snowy a chance to prove his worth in the halves.

I think the Panthers may struggle alot witht the loss of Gower. He is such a huge loss. I think the bulldog's will get over the Panthers, our forwards should be rite by Sunday. If Preston is moved to half back than the Dog's are gonna have to shut him down. Our defence has to be top notch and we have to watch there 2nd faze play. But with the return of Benny Harris and the form that Lolesi and tonga are in I think we can defend well out wide and attack well out wide. Should be won in the halves. The Dog's need Sherwin to fire... Dogs By 8 :)

I think preston and amos could take advantage of some tired big men late in the half.

And while I'd prefer it not to happen if girdler does get shifted to 5/8 at the very least it will see a very solid defender in whatuira moved into the centers.

I don't like Girds at 5/8th either. He can play there, but I think this would have been a great opportunity for Russell.

Ah well, Lang knows what he's doing.

Leave Girds alone! :D I hope Girds has a blinder ... afterall it's his last year playing! However the result ends up we all know he would have put in more than 100%.

It's up to Penrith now to show we can play without Gowie.

Girds is useless in 5/8. Should be a good game all and all...Vengence is our's from that stupid call last year that lost us the game. Dogs never like to lose 2 on the trot.Should be a blinder :D
