Round 12 v Bulldogs @ Penrith - CATS AND DOGS... THE SEQUEL?

Remember that kids movie from a few years ago when those two domesticated creatures squared off for world domination? Unfortunately I do.

Anyway, something similar happened at Penrith last year, when the Panthers and Bulldogs went toe to toe for 80 minutes, in what was arguably the match of the year.

The two combatants face off again, at the same venue, in another heavyweight battle... 2nd v 3rd.

PANTHERS - Were too classy for the Cowboys, taking their chances when they were presented and managing to do enough to keep the Cowboys from regaining the lead once it was hauled in and over taken. Up against one of the high flyers, it needs to be more intesne, and the return of the Origin stars should ensure that.

BULLDOGS - Coming off a loss against the Tigers. But to be fair, their first choice forward pack was virtually missing on Origin duty. However, they are invariably due for a win. Sound obvious, but the Bulldogs never seem to get into a rut - a loss is usually followed by a win, and usually a convincing one. The Panthers are in the firing line.

Both teams have players backing up from Origin, but the Panthers are harder hit. Having said that, being at home will benefit us, and we will lift. And the Bulldogs will turn it on without fail.

I predict that it could be a carbon copy of last year - the result anyway.

Panthers in golden point.

Panthers by 2.

1st Try - Amos Roberts.

Girds to look his spunky self and have a blinder to make up for the sorry lot backing up from origin. :D (That's for Big Artie) ;-)

Preston to spell bound us and put the dogs in a spin.

Wesser really feeling what Origin is all about and just makes a 75 metre break/run to pass out over the line for the match winning try.

Gowie to show us all who is in control.

Priddis making dummy half darts all game and showing the way forward with Puletua, Galuvao & Clinton on his tail all game.

Lang to impress us with his new trick - offloading every chance.

 Go the panthers!!!

Marty has a limit on the number of offloads he can do in one season, lets not waste them all in this game.

What would be even better is if Marty scored a try! Now that would be impressive. 8)
