They have more rumours these blokes than you're publication of the New Idea. Personally I find origin grossly over-rated. A place where coaches tend to play 'favourites'. Give me club footy any day of the week, or internationals.

If we win this weekend - it doesn't bode well for St George, they should beat us IMO we aren't full strength and we aren't playing to our potential while St George are and are pretty much 100%.....

absolute cracker though, going to be a sellout for sure - only Rnd 12 and we've have 2 sellouts at home this season - that hasn't happened for an age surely?

I remember 2 in 03 but none this early. If form keeps we will smash all sort of attendance records

Panthers V Sharks. Won that one too.
What happened after that doesn't really bear talking about though.

We also played the Dragons at Kogarah in 2010 in a 1 v 2 match on a Monday night in Origin week. We won 12-8 and the Dragons remained scoreless until the last few minutes when they jagged back to back tries. Once again a string of defeats followed but we recovered to hold 2nd.

This team is eternities better than the 1999 side and considerably better than the 2010 side that came 2nd. Luke Walsh was the 7 and Travis Burns the 6 (actually Wade Graham was 7 in the Dragons game).

Both those years were flash in the pan years. This one has been building for a few years now. A much more battle hardened one

James Hooper has Nathan Cleary as a $1.04 odds to be the NSW #7 if he plays decently this weekend.
Hooper is a dill. This is not how betting odds work. Playing decently this weekend cannot be quantified. My feeling is that Maloney and Cleary are the halves providing they are fit.

I agree Sime ,we just aren't there at the moment . I think the Sharks game showed our deficiencies to compete against top tier teams especially out wide, in saying that Hook may get us fired up as well as the home crowd influence. I'm heading out to the game and supporting our guys no matter how good or poor we play .

Sharks game can't really be used given we had Peachey defending at 5/8th and CHN in the centres. Balance of our team now is better of course Blake and Mansour help but we have guys in their actual position so be a good guide going forward

I agree with this, however it was our worst performance of the year and it was four tries all, and the Sharks haven't lost a game since. I just think we'll have been waiting for this game for some weeks and at home, we'll be ready.

From memory there was three sellouts in '03.

First one was against the Bulldogs (where we won 28-26 from memory).

Second one was against the Rooster (where we lost 38-24 I think).

Third one was the final round of the regular season against the Eels (where we won 40-22 to win the minor premiership).

I think the crowd against Parra was a tad above 23k

Official crowd for last round 2003 vs Parra- 22,813.

Edit: the same site shows 22.304 for this match in another place and the 2010 match as the record, which I guess must be correct.
