Round 16: NQ Cowboys vs Cronulla Sharks @ DFS

I was actually thinking last night about all the changes the Cowboys have seen since their success in 04-05. With all the extra seats, changes in game day management and all of that, can you really say that the game day experience is any better?

I remember we used to have the live band under the scoreboard, we'd have Pricey on the PA getting everyone pumped for the game (doing the mexican wave and all that), Mad Dog running up and down the Eastern Grandstand. Now we have more seats which are empty for 3/4 of home games, and some gimp who thinks that screaming COWBOYS for 80 minutes count as atmosphere.

I miss the way home games used to be.

The playing of music during the match like its a nightclub is terrible.

Last night they played Vuvzuzelas over the speakers!!!

Last year at Townsille when I made the trek up there, there was an advertising blitz on the big screen, headlined "1 PUNCH CAN KILL", obviously trying to educate Townsville people on the dangers of drinking and violence.
Dairy Farmers is the ONLY ground I have ever seen this advertising campaign being run.

And that couldn't possibly be because it was a North Queensland based campaign?

I can't really comment on the atmosphere but any time there is a Cowboys game on TV, and the game I attended, the atmosphere was no better or worse than any other game.
