Just on the no Origin players because of Logistics. Its a diabolical move by the NRL but....

Origin is Wednesday
Players back to Sydney Thursday regardless (5 hour trip) (EDIT - Forgot this one was at Perth)
Fly out to NZ Friday (3 hour trip) Its actually 2 hours longer to fly to Perth..
Game Saturday.

Don't get me wrong, its a rubbish move by the NRL and a load on the 5 playing, but it is doable if he wants to back them up is it not? Am i missing something regarding the logistics issue coach alluded to?

i think we will surprise a few this game - it will be a similar lineup to the knights game but we have Garner, Sorro & Papali'i available - unfortunately i dont see Hassett getting game time this time round.

Henry also served his 2 game suspension so he'll play as well - no Riki & Huth please - they just arent FG material

Laurie
Alamoti
Tago
Mclean
Jenkins
Talagi
Schneids (Toelau prefer)
Leota
Kenny
Henry
Sorro
Papali'i
Smith

Sommerton
Garner
Patea
Eisenhuth (Hassett prefer)
Hassett will make the 17 for sure. It's a much stronger side than what took on the Knights but probably not good enough for this assignment. Laurie is a worry but maybe some well placed words will bring the best out. You'd have to think he'd be out to impress potential employers.

They need to channel the baby Panthers of 2018.

Panthers v Warriors - Round 17, 2018

A masterclass from rookie halfback Jarome Luai has propelled an undermanned Penrith Panthers outfit to a 36-4 win over the New Zealand Warriors

Correct. Ivan said he was angry it was out of the club's hands. That's not what you say when you're trying to trick the warriors 😂

Anything else is cope from people panicking at the season results.

That presser I believe is as angry as Ivan gets. Angry at hos the draw has been shaped for this to occur.

He was filthy that the decision has been taken out of his and the coaching staffs hands.

Basically 2 games that Penrith will struggle to win. Wouldn't shock me to see Ivan throw in a semi NSW cup tame for Warriors game in New Zealand. Maybe add in Blaize, Kenny and the bench.
There will be more steam if NRL reject this team I imagine.

I dont think its worth risking the players backing up.

Yes every win is important here on out but we need the back ups to step up.

I think we can name a strong enough side to win. But daine laurie probs needs to set the clock back to last year when he was firing. The forwards need to dominate. And brad schnieder will need to somehow pull an attacking move out for once.
