One point out of the 8 and with everything to play for..I'm staying positive as a win in NZ would be a huge lightning rod moment for our season..heck..even a tough spirited, close, injury free encounter will spur the Origin boys to come back and rip in and give our young guys some confidence

Please, the Panthers high performance team have the players training load and recovery regime down to the hour. It’s an actual science.

Unless they say it can’t be done, I won’t be listening.

A charter flight from Perth to Auckland, with only Penrith Players and staff, is not that big a deal when you compare it to what others do on the Daily for work.
Maybe if the next game wasn't in 5 days.

Koloamatangi has been injured and no longer 19th man for SOO 2, Smith becomes the new 19th man.

So if that means Smith now has to fly to Perth, does he become unavailable for the Warriors game?

Koloamatangi was always out due to the birth of his baby. 19th man always go back to their club games. It's only 1 - 18 that won't play as they are needed on the night.

Preston has now been added to the squad.
I have no idea if Smith is travelling to Perth though.
But It is an interstate game. It kind of makes sense to take a couple of travelling reserves. Just in case someone goes down at training, or wakes up sick Wednesday morning.
Hard to call someone up last minute if you only have 18 players.

I think its only a problem if he plays. If he doesn't play he doesn't need to recover. Just a long trip.

In spite of many off-season changes and a terrible start to the season, we are 1 point out of the 8.

Our struggles to date might be a good thing. If anyone was complacent, they can't afford to be from here on in. While far from perfect, we are getting better. The Grand Final heroes of past years the coach and the club will have a point to prove. Once Origin is done the club should / will galvanise and lift for the remainder of the season.

Barring injuries / suspensions we definitely finish in the 8. Other teams will have more to worry about than us WHEN this happens.

I'm looking forward to the ride.

The results have definitely being falling our way, I can feel the tide turning, the rest is on us now to come home strong for the rest of the season, regardless of this weeks result.

Larry Smith has got to have a crack this weekend.

Made his Australian debut last year, given the starting gig at Penrith, and a couple of weeks in NSW camp. Time to show he deserves it. Him and Leota need to dominate this weekend.

I'm actually quietly confident for this weekend.

I do believe in the payback theory (Magic round last year).

But we are likely missing a lot of cattle. It would be a monumental win if we manage it.
