Show me a post where I bag Beale? He did a fantastic job for us when Hoffman was out! I don't go around bagging him just because he's got the spot of the guy I have man love for (eg. elia).
As a winger/centre, he lacks the x-factor of the blokes who are higher on the pecking order imo (Hodges, Reed, Yow Yeh, Gagai, Copley in that order). And if I'm not mistaken, that's your opinion too!

As for Macca, I have one huge issue with him: His speed, or lack of it!
There's no substitute for it and it matters in the hooker position imo.
Having said that, he does have talent, generally tightens our ruck really well in defense, and an above average kicking game, but he needs to be at his very best to hide his major flaw, and no one can hold form for a whole season.
At this time, he is the first choice hooker, but once Baptiste can last at least 2/3's of the game, and we have the the likes of Te'o and Gillett back on board to cover for Glenn's stints at hooker, Macca might very well drop off the 17 all together.

McCullough is no slower than Cameron Smith and he's the best hooker in the game

You clearly don't know what an X factor is if you think Copley has nay of it.

The grass was thicker but that meant it didn't chop up as much. They had over 60mm in very little time FFS. The surface as such was better than it has been at Suncorp this year which was just patched up with sand. You've obviously never seen Suncorp after heavy rain. It gets puddles too particularly at the northern end.

Yeah it has been a while re: Suncorp

........none the less I haven't seen anything like the saturation at nbi last night for years

Even at Gosford when it dumped on them the ground still drained off enough not to leave isolated small lakes for the players to try and play in.

Sandow's kick into the puddle was smart ........but it shouldn't have happened at a ground the NRL have chosen to play a fixture at.

First off that field is a joke. I couldn't believe it at first.

3.Thaiday - Plenty of involvement
2.Hannant - Workhorse
1.Baptise/Glenn - No real stand out for this point.

I was quite happy with Baptise's work out of dummy half. His defence was excellent to. He put 2 big front on around the legs tackles on big DT which was amazing.

Copley was really disappointing. Next time I would like to see Moylan or Gagai get a shot instead. Very poor ball security, which is probably the most important thing in a game like that.

I hate Chris Sandow. I hate Isaac Luke more. They both have small man syndrome. And Chris has Down Syndrome too.

Anderson started out shocking! Showed no ball security but came back with some big runs, and also racked up about 50 tackles I believe which is amazing!

Hannant has made such a difference to our team it's so unbelievable. I think we are still 1 solid starting front rower short though. McGuire was in some good form before injury though, plus Thaiday will probably go back to front row soon with Gillett back and Te'o still to come into the team.

Seagulls will jump all over this but I think Moylan deserves his shot. Copley got smashed about like a rag doll and I very much doubt that Gagai would have done any better in those conditions.

Embrace your inner critic gang, it makes the board more colourful that way. As long as you don't hope they suffer an injury or hope they f**k up on purpose to get dropped it's all cool.

AuDragon - I just recall a few instances, mainly one time where you tried to put a try that Gagai conceded all on the shoulders of Beale. I believe you tried to say Beale crowded Gagai, which actually made Gagai sound worse because those takes are pretty regulatory in the NRL.

beads - I know man and apart of me wanted to join in too but c'mon man, the BBC kid has golden boots! Still, one day we will have our LU meeting with the players at some seedy night club...

Superstar International Moylan will be allowed back only if he doesn't attempt some super Yow Yeh jump to take a bomb.

There's a reason I put Copley last in that row, and yes, I believe he has more to offer in the center/wing position than Beale, who in turn looks to be a very good 2nd option for the fullback position.

Just because I rate others above Beale, doesn't in any way mean that I think he's crap. He's a solid young player that still has plenty of development left, so who knows where he'll end...

Just on Baptiste's defence.

The guy made 24 tackles...and missed 5.

Hardly at McCullough's level.

Hes definitely not at McCullough level, but to be fair in those conditions it would be really easy to miss tackles. His front on defence on Taylor was inspirational though. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Macca all round has Baptiste covered at this point but it wouldn't surprise me to see young Kurt end up the better hooker.

I'm a fence sitter though, I rate both.

I don't rate having Norman, Hunt or Beale off the bench infront of Baptiste though.
