Thurston gone for the year, helps our cause given we play them twice before seasons end
Not too surprising given the way he was holding that shoulder.
Case of returning too early?

Just read something interesting r.e the Cowboys and how we are copping crap for having not beat a top 8 side this year: cows win this year have come against broncos (4th), raiders (10th), titans (14th), rabbitohs (13th), knights (15th), bulldogs (12th) and eels (9th)
Those stats can be misleading. Where were those teams when Cowboys played them? Parra were top 8 atleast
Overall yes but Moylan is now the best player on the field and by quite a marginAlso Cowboys have missed Thurston for a great deal of the season, Scott has been injured and ofcourse a few lesser injuries.
They have been really impressive. I think even eithout Thurston they are atleast our equal if not better.
Is Whare injured?
Agreed. A spell in reserves would be good for him even though he wouldn't like it. I still rate him though, he's also our most experienced centre & back and experience is something that we miss sometimes in close games particularly. Can't be all young guys. The length of the resigning was a bit strange, must of been a good deal.Dunno.
I hope he's been dropped tbh, he needs to rediscover his form and you can't do that in first grade. I still can't believe we gave him a 5 year contract off the back of two serious injuries
Yep need to improve on that very average Canberra gameCowboys will lift today without Thurston. We will need to be at our best to beat them. A half arsed effort today will not get the chocolates.
I asked in the other thread but it seems to have died. Is Cleary injured? His elbow is always strappen (in game and at training)
