When he started he couldn't take a bomb, by the Dragons game he did everything asked of him.

He hasn't been a superstar but he's in a catch 22. Defensively he isn't good enough to be a centre and positionally he isn't good enough to be a winger. At full strength he wouldn't be there otherwise it'd be between the greatest Qld Cup winger Moylan or chicken legs Gagai.

No catch 22 pete .........just simply not good enough.

Maybe super Moylan should be given a chance? I thought he showed more "zing" with the ball in hand against the raiders than Copely has all year

and I think Gagai should be there ahead of Copely any way, or at least until he's proven he can't cut it. He showed promise at the start of the year......

Copley reminds me a lot of Steve Michaels.
Every now and then he'll show glimpses in attack.
Both are shocking in defense playing centre.
Both have the ability to finish off a try.
Both have suspect hands.

Base on just potential, Dane is the second most talented out of the backs at the club behind Hodges.
The big question is... can he live up to this potential.

I just can't seem to get over the fact he looks 100% bored doing everything. Everything is routine and going through the motions. I see no real spark to him and don't see him doing anything but filling a position.

I disagree about Gagai. He strikes me as a case of Joel Moon...

Joel Moon was never rated and was tried on the wing, centre and 5/8th.
Everything he tried seems like in was in second gear. Beale is a lot like Moon TBH.

Well if you are going to have McCullough in the team then he might as well be starting. Defence is his obvious strong point, so let him take the first 20 of the game atleast when it is the toughest. And Baptise is quick and nippy from dummy half and has been good coming on fresh when the opposition forwards are tired. It just makes a lot more sense to me....

Dont like the look of that bench. We dont need both Macca and Hunt, and would prefer another bigger forward. Hopefully Hala can play longer minutes.

At the same time Snappy -If Griffy chooses his interchanges well for the number 9 at the right moments we could really drill some slack eels defenders :p

Interesting I say....

Griffin said with Origin and injuries these were the only players available, thus why Hunt and McCullough are both on the bench.

Surely he could have given Frei a go.
