Where are all the kids from when you guys made the NYC GF a few years ago?

no depth shows the roster isn't even that good to cover.

Atleast Green and Ricky had star players to help them

Dylan Brown, Stone,Mahoney are part of the first grade side.
Keppie is at Manly.

Unsure who else was part of the side tbh. I dont think any others kicked on

It will be a hard game to gauge. Parra have a 5 day turnaround which makes it very hard to win. They also have half the spine missing and most likely best bench forward in Niakuore.
If Eels did stick within 14 points and met again with a 7 day turnaround and the spine at full strength youd have to imagine they'd flip the result.

I'd say Penrith need to win by 20 points in this one against a severely weakened EELS side.

As long as we win, the score doesn’t really matter to me.

For me it’s more important that they take control and manage it well.

You ask coaches what the biggest thing going into finals is and they all say momentum. Someone spends 2 weeks out it can hard to get into a rythm and be firing from the opening whistle in a fast paced game which is what we need to do when we go up against whoever out of the Eels, Roosters, Raiders in a final.

Of course it doesn't matter for players in a position like prop where they don't have to do much thinking on the field and the mentality to play well is all about effort and desire. But in a position like the halves no matter how hard you try if you drop out of form it's hard to recapture it.
On the other hand going into a finals series burned out or carrying niggling injuries is hardly going to be ideal either.

Trent Robinson tries to give his blokes a rest and as the back to back premiership winning coach it's hard go argue against it. Although he does it across the season. Not last game or two only.

I feel like we have stood up and played good football against all the top 8 sides this year. We are the opposite of a Matt Elliott coached side and appear ready for the big matches. Newcastle was an aberration.

Feeling very confident in this match.

same here. I feel like we are going through the motions almost bored for the lesser games. Canberra was proof of this

Let's get rid of this myth about 5 day turn arounds as an excuse. It has been proven to be a myth by at least two statistical studies. Here is one of them: https://rugbyleagueeyetest.wordpress.com/2020/07/28/round-11-notes-and-trends/.

In fact between 5 to 7 day turnarounds there is little or no difference in terms of wins or injury rates. However, teams on a nine day turn around lose more. The extra rest doesn't help them.

The other important point will be the Referee. Who he is and what effect he has on the game. Also I hate a lot of 6 again calls as I do not see what they are for at the time.

Pamfers lucky to be coming up against a injury riddled side we will be lucky to field a team and are missing our 3 best players

The ref calls it out most times. Only time they don't from what I've seen is markers not square.

Our good luck charm has surfaced. Every team, including the Panthers, has had their fair bit of injuries. The difference between the Panthers, and the Eels, is that we have players, who can step up to the top side with ease. Jealousy is a curse.

Spoken from the book of Seibold. Preparing excuses before an inevitable loss.

Wow, given the Eels have had a pretty good run on the injury front in 2020, if not the least number of serious injuries of all 16 teams, you are now complaining about having three players out? Go figure.

In the quest for the minor premiership and with the finals approaching this game is massive. I know we talk about makings statements and the like we’ll surely this is the game where we need to put our best on show.

This will be one tough game. Never ever confident especially against the Eels. Anyone remember the 64- almost blot drubbing in the early 2000's,

Nightmare on elm street stuff.
