I was watching the game back and they said we have had some forwards take a step backwards this year!!!!!!!!

They said Sam hasn't been getting consistent help!!!!

They know their stuff yet others ignore that on here.

Some are bamboozled as to why Turner was dropped!!!! I'm not bamboozled in the slightest. It's been clear to see.........
You dont like turner thats OK but there is a lot that do..His Stats warrent him to be in the team , id be more concerned if you are judging on defense the missed tackles by goodwin this year hes at 88% LAST i looked...I hope you noted a pitiful attempt by cook last weekend in trying to tackle a line break.
Thank goodness for Sam Burgess to cover that.I think at times you have selected viewing. Farrah is our best start on hooker,

Cook does panic & it seems to be when he thinks he's going to be monstered!!

A good example was when he kicked, with his knee, instead of pinning his ears back & using his speed to advantage to cut through the line.

Tuner has missed his tackles inside our own 20 defending our line leading to conceding tries.

He also has a poor hit up work rate. He's been going through the motions.

Cook needs to stay on the bench. He adds very good spark off it.

I'm happy with playing 2 hookers and it's working out well. FACT...

I don't think there should be too many changes from today's team, but I'd like to see how new signing Dean Britt goes, so him in for Clark.

1. Cody Walker
2. Alex Johnston
3. Aaron Gray
4. Bryson Goodwin
5. Braidon Burns
6. John Sutton
7. Adam Reynolds
8. Tom Burgess
9. Robbie Farah
10. Dave Tyrrell
11. Tyrell Fuimaono
12. Angus Crichton
13. Sam Burgess

INTERCHANGE
14. Damien Cook
15. Dean Britt
16. George Burgess
17. Zane Musgrove

BACK UP PLAYERS
18. Anthony Cherrington
19. Jason Clark
20. Kyle Turner
21. Cameron Murray
22. Robert Jennings
I disagree about Clark. He has realised [or perhaps Maguire has actually allowed him] that OFFLOADING passes helps the team win. He is doing it very well too so I would have him ready from the bench he is providing a spark by continually offloading the football rather than just crashing into a wall of bodies. Its refreshing to watch and the wins are coming.

Turner has been pushed aside by the emerging successful combination of Fuimaono and Crichton. Along with Musgrove The Crisps have unearthed three potential Group 1 Racehorses. The wins are following behind these three because they are OPENING UP space for established players such as Sam B. Sam B is starting to look explosive again purely because of the emergence of these three stallions especially Crichton. Defenses must account for Crichton at all times he is that dangerous. Musgrove too is a real handful with his charges as is Fuimaono so teams cannot afford to stack players onto Sam B. Open your eyes Sam B is smiling and playing relaxed and wild because he now knows that defenses can no longer gang up on him. Did you notice the attention Crichton got from Penrith??? Sam B cashed in on it.

Same team 1-17 for me. I agree I'd like to see how Dean Britt goes but no one deserves to be dropped, particularly Clark, and Britt needs to prove himself at the Bears.

Back to discussion, this is a game we must capitalise on.

Keary will be pumped for this one and will be playing halfback. He needs to be shut down early on and I'd like to see Sam homing onto him.

They'll be without Pearce, Cordner and Ferguson and while that's 2 of their best players, they'll still have a strong squad who will be wanting to rectify last week's loss.

I think this will be closer than we think but I'm praying we smash them.
Keary is vastly overrated and he has a poor kicking game. To me Easts will end up winning nada on the season they are just not good enough. Cronulla badly exposed them out wide and Melbourne had them toasted SANS Cronk Slater Smuth and Marilyn Chambers. That's Bad form. These contests usually end up 1-1 in the season. Eastern Suburbs won the first game but that was with Tuggg Boat Talakai starting at centre. The Crisps look a vastly better team now with the emergence of Crichton Fuimaono and Musgrove and Talakai out of the frame. Its a must win contest for The Crisps so lets go!!!

3 weeks.

Round 20 against Sharks probably.
Hunt fractured his thumb nearly three weeks il y a. He should be back soon even with a cast over the thumb. He will not require 6 weeks for that!! Running backs in The NFL - who have to grip the rock and pound into defenses - play with a broken Hand only days after surgical repair!! Sore but play with a cast on!!!

NFL running backs are also paid a shit tonne more to play than what Hymel Hunt is earning.

What I've noticed about Clark this season is he isn't shuffling when he gets to the defensive line like he has in seasons gone by. He hasn't got the strength to break the line but the momentum he has when reaching the defence is preventing him from being pushed back with ease like we've seen before

You make a very good point about the extra attention on Crichton opening things up for Sam. For quite a few games this year, he was just about our only forward providing any attacking threat. this made it easy for other teams to target him in numbers and shut him down.

Since Crichton has been starting, especially and even more so since Fui's now progressing nicely, this is changing, as shown on the weekend.

Yes that is a big improvement in him.

In our high performance update today Paul Devlin said around 3-4 weeks away.

I'd say 3.

Interesting that Britt isn't even 1 of the 4 backup players. I thought he would have been in front of Gosiewski. I also thought Jennings would have been 1 of the back up players in case one of the outside backs got injured training or something.

I think Jennings is still injured. Knee problems
