Before we start renewing memberships … just remember this is the Dragons Board. Just prepare yourselves for disappointment…

I don’t think so I reckon they have learnt their lesson with peanut. He will survive for the Manly game, the players will make no effort again (they have made that an art form) we will be flogged and Griffin shown the door. Make Jamie Soward interim coach then please.

Today I wrote to the club expressing my disgust at the performance of the team lately and asking some pertinent questions. Later on, hearing about this Board meeting made my weekend. We, as supporters, me personally for 60 years, can't go on putting up with these dreadful displays of football. I remember the glory days and how proud fellas were to wear the big red v.
I do feel the merger has had a lot to do with it. We have lost our identity somewhere along the way.
In my email today I said I would not renew my membership until things drastically improved and I hope lots of others will do the same.
What a farce was Ryan Webb's latest update to the fans.

Has anyone else noticed that since, the media hysteria about Ben Hunt at the end of the Raiders game, the Dragons have copped a sin bin at the slightest excuse from referee Atkins? He obviously doesn't want the media to think he is being soft on the Dragons, so has gone the other way and is over punishing them. I hope he doesn't get the Dragons next game!
Good example today of inconsistency and pay back to the Dragons and maybe giving Canberra the rub of the green. Woods sin bin crime was soft and no different to Papalii's hold back on Hughes in the 2nd half. Penalty and no sin bin.

Correct and the sooner the NRL figure out that the sin bin rule needs to change, the better.

10 minute bin is not for today's game...

I dread it when the team goes into the dressing room to hear Hook's boring half time talk.

What he says to the players must be so uninspiring, they come out in the second half as a totally different side to the one that went into the dressing sheds at half time. We had the game won in my opinion. Unfortunately, Aaron Woods' sin binning in the 47th minute of the game plus the mistakes by Lomax and others destroyed any chance of us winning.

Where does the discipline and sticking to the game plan go? Why do our players drop in intensity?

Everyone loves that throw away line about Hook and his half time speeches.

Does everyone remember that Hook addresses them before the game as well?

Going off this flawed logic Hook must either save his best speeches for before the game or maybe he doesn't say anything before the game and only at half time?

The players not turning in 80 minute performances has been a problem since long before Hook arrived at the club, I'd say the real reason behind it has nothing to do with a half time address.

Yes agree but some player(s)? internally has leaked this disharmony via player managers to the SMH with so much detail coming out.
It may be a storm in a teacup but this is where the cracks start to appear and maybe not repairable
You need harmony within the inner sanctum or you are rudderless

Greetings from Malta, I'm here to walk my daughter down the aisle for her choice location wedding (if anyone asks we are not from a Malteses background, beautiful place and lovely people here from what I have seen and experience after 30 hrs so far).

We flew out on Saturday afternoon from Sydney, lost the radio call on my phone at 1/2 time. I couldn't believe the score when we landed at Dubai airport stopover, I didn't know what to think or how to feel and i'm not blaming the 2 hours sleep during a 14hr leg flight. Thinking back now I guess the feeling was like losing a dearly loved one.

Just now, I couldn't bear to watch the full game on the NRL website and ruin my mood for this special occasion, so I stupidly watched the 4min match highlight, mainly to see the Manu rort that you guys have been writing about.

I'm 100 sure if a Dragons player did the same, try would have been disallowed and the player sin binned...professional foul....or they would have found something etc.

Things I noticed.

Hunt pretty much set up all our try's without him result would have been much worse....try off 40/20 as an example
Looks like the team just doesn't give a shit anymore, Hook has lost the locker room.

Another thing not Dragon related....on the inflight (Qantas on Emirates plane) entertainment I noticed a lot of passengers around me were watching AFL match on the sports channels. I tried searching for NRL but none to be found. Told me a lot in which direction AFL is heading as entertainment compared to the WWE esq modern NRL farce.

Furthermore to the AFL superiority over NRL, the match that was on the plane was live between Carlton vs Geelong. Other passengers were watching the tail end of the Wallabies v England rugby. I don’t follow either sport so with no live stream NRL I just put a movie on.

I suggest you just focus on the happy day with you walking your daughter down the aisle and forget about rugby league. What a lovely place to have a wedding. The Maltese are nice and friendly.

Have a great time and enjoy the moment. Have a drink for us.

Cheers🍾

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding

Have a great time, Malta is a beautiful place

Thanks for the well wishes guys.

The place is beautiful 30deg average temp and sunny every day, 20 family and friends that have already arrived went on a boat cruise today to the blue lagoon, about a dozen more arriving tomorrow and the wedding is on Thursday.

Definitely had a great day with a barbie on board with plenty of sensible 🍻🥂🍷🍹🍾🍾🍾.

I'll upload some happy snaps of the Malta when I get back and reduce the file size of the pics.

Thanks again and BTW Dragons who?
