You’re right crush but I’m only guessing 🤷🏼‍♂️because Hook said the other day that Hunt needs a rest soon & with Normans suspension he needs to work out the best way of doing it as he doesn’t want to rest both together.
We don't play the Titans until Sunday so it gives Hunt a good period to recover from SOO and the game against the Sea Eagles.

We have got to bring in more variation in our attack against the Titans. The more the better. I don't think we can take the Titans up the middle as they have bigger guys than us so more edge and second phases need to be executed precisely.

Our defence has got to be spot on much more so than what we have dished up in recent games. This is where we let ourselves down and then the more they have to defend the more tired they will get and bring on errors, 6 agains and penalties. A lot of the other teams know that if they can keep us in our 20 metre zone, we have trouble with any scoring chances. We have to be able to get out of our 20, get at least over the halfway mark and either bomb or try their luck in running on the last tackle - keep them guessing.

Solid defence is the only way for us and unless we can score at least 20+ points to defend, we will not win.

I obviously don’t know what he meant but I took it needs a rest meaning not training much this week and having a big rest that way not that he would be rested and missing matches

im not sure though

We do have a tough run but we have barely put a full strength side on the park this season with injuries and suspensions, certainly not for consecutive weeks. The loss of Vaughan I can’t see us recovering from this year. Molo and Sua will help next year but dickhead or not he was hands down our best prop.
Defence is the key to improving our fortunes.
Unless we can strangle teams and restrict them to 10-15 points a game, we are never going to be top 4 material let alone serious title contenders.
I agree Vaughan is going to be a loss but DeBelin has already stiffened up the middle and when our line speed is high, we are more than competitive.
I will be interested to see how we deal with the suspensions against the Teams above us.
Realistically, I never thought we had a chance of beating Manly even without Tommy Turbo and DCE but we did give it a red hot go.
In the end, a mountain of missed tackles and errors just gave Manly too much possession in the second half.
If we can beat the Titans, we are still a chance of making the finals and once all the troops are back, it wouldn't surprise me if we make a late run under Griffin.
Something that was improbable under McGregor.
I remain optimistic because in these tough times, new champions emerge from the rubble to give us hope for the future.

few games he’s been man of the match
With due respect, I have not seen even one man of the match performance from Norman.
Maybe I need my eyes checked but he has consistently let us down.
Golden point game he was terrible and finally got the FG right to win the game but even a blind squirrel gets a nut occasionally.
He oscillates between mediocre and OK.
The guy is a real dud and Parramatta threw a party when they offloaded him onto us.
Get him outa there and give the six jumper to either Clune or Amone.
With Hunt finally living up to his price tag, we don't need a mug lair as his halves partner.
A local junior will play with passion and put their body on the line for the red and whites.
Let's stop kidding ourselves about Norman.

First time poster, being following the forum for a while now

I think my team would be; with suspensions to Corey Norman (although I would like his suspension for the rest of the year), Jack Bird, Gerard Beale, Josh McGuire, Josh Kerr (if he is needed start at prop, wasted in back row)

1. Dufty
2. Ramsey
3. Feagai/Fuimaono
4. Amone/Feagai
5. Pereira
6. Clune
7. Hunt
8. Lawrie
9. Macca
10. Faamausili
11. Ford
12. Sims
13. JDB

14. JHunt
15. JT-B
16. Sloan
17. Fuimanono

The Broncos are the away team in their game but get to play it at Suncorp. The Titans should be playing away but get to play at home. The NRL could have switched these games to deflect perceived home ground advantage. In my opinion the NRL could be seen as influencing results particularly when you also take into account the crackdown with sinbins and suspensions now being somewhat relaxed.
Titans did well at home last weekend

Absolutely correct

I do have one beef about us signing all these Queenslanders. When they will be missing and depleting our ranks over those vital rounds during SOO. This is main reason we need to improve our depth.

Re Norman , good to see he is dropped and stays there
I am sure plenty of hard worker players , trying their ass off each week for the club must look at Norman with absolute contempt
I certainly would

He needs to be removed to improve the clubs culture
Players like him ARE the clubs culture problem

NO clubs with a strong culture would put up with his piss poor week in week out efforts

Don’t mind this side. Not sure though how Cody Will fair in the centres. Would have thought Sloan would go to wing to allow Beale to come in. De Belin at 17 interesting too.

Cluney's going to be busy, playing 14 and 18

Interesting selections, and a few good one's imo. We have to contain Tino and Fifita, moving Bird into the 2nd row with Sims is a good move. Starting Kerr and Lawrie is a bit of a worry, but Kerr back in the middle is also a good move. JDB and Jt-B (had to be that way right!!) is also not a bad decision. Fui will add some grunt from the bench also.

Bud chosen in front of Junior is also an interesting move, but I support it, we need creativity and energy and Bud will definitely bring that (not saying Junior wouldn't have also). Clune will be used as a back-up for Bud and/or Hunt or Macca, with either Macca getting a spell ie: moving Hunt to hooker and Clune to 7 (or 6 even)

Dragons website can't even get the team list right. Clune listed as 14 and 18. Ellis is the 18.
