It's the worst home game I've attended - yes even worse than the game against the Cowboys in 2006.

Pathetic defence, absolutely woeful stuff and everybody (Parker, Wallace, Michaels and Winterstein) should be held accountable. People are going to bag Michaels, fine, but you can bag Parker and Wallace who were content to allow the Rabbitohs to run at their own pace and set their outside men up. Without any pressure, the Rabbits were allowed to bamboozle us.

3. Justin Hodges - Loved his answer to his post match question: How do you feel after playing an Origin on Wednesday and a game like tonight? Fresh? Hodges as quick as a jack rabbit: An angry old man. Hehe...
2. Joel Clinton - Ran it up hard and well all game and didn't stop.
1. Dave Taylor - Mixed game but his pro's certainly outweighed his cons.

Aside from Glenn and possibly Carroll, the rest were s**t.

Hunt was crap. Worst performance I've seen from him in awhile.
Michaels, enough said.
Winterstein, not much better.
Gorrell,
Wallace, tried hard but failed and his defence was weak.
McGuire, was off.
McCullough, actually he was solid. I liked what he did up the middle of the ruck.
Williams, ineffective and slowwww.
Te'o, lazy and ineffective.
Parker, dumb dumb dumb dumb.

Setu, for such a talent, he's certainly not doing much.
Hoffman, didn't get a whole lot of game time but didn't step up at all.

A very poor match but you only have to look at your ratings to see the mediocre names involved in this debacle,Broncos have problems that's plain to see ,the forwards just don't put the fear of god into anybody and they'll get run over all day long by just an average pack.
Kiss goodbye to the finals which tbh would be a blessing ,carrol coming back has been a tacit admission by management that they've fcked up in a major way by spending all the cash on teh backs and neglecting the forwards.

I haven't seen the game and after reading all the reports? Its probably not worth my while watching the replay. It is disappointing to hear that the side performed so badly after seemingly getting our season back on track. One prevalent point has been made and that's we need our best players the field. I disagree we need to stop relying on individuals rather than team effort to get us wins. Structure, confidence and defence are team work and we're are weak in these areas. In any good side, you should be able to pull your best player out and the team still does these things well. You have three injured players it doesn't change. Everyone in the squad should be able to perform these core basics. That makes filling in less disruptive. Sure, its not end of days but our season is reliant on our best players individually to cover for the weaknesses of those who need them to ignite the side.

It seems with K Hunt that he plays well when he feels like it and other times looks disinterested. I don't understand why Michaels keeps getting picked, he is just not FG standard. Winterstein has struggled for form after starting the season off very well. You're right, Wallace always tries really hard but he just doesn't have enough skill for mine.

I thought it was ridiculous that Gorell played 5/8. People disagreed with me, but seriously, the guy can't even play well in his best position, what did you expect at 5/8. Should have played B Hunt. Not saying he would have done any better, but would give himself some experience and we could look towards the future. I'm very sad to say that Teo and Setu have not been good buys.

I'm a little disappointed in Hoffman. I think these kids get too many raps from the commentators/past players/media and then the fans expect alot from them. In fairness he has had very little game time. One thing I look for in outside backs is speed. At the very least, if they are very fast they automatically have something to offer, like Chris Walker, Leon Bott. Doesn't look like Hoffman has alot of speed. I really really hope he comes good and lives up to the hype because we really need a good full back next season!

Sorry for the long post... :p

The whole team relied on Hodges alot. They basically threw him the ball and said "do something great". And in many cases he did. But Souths quickly realised this and got 3 or 4 players in on him.

Pity that they didn't show that on the highlight reel which i watched on bigpond tv. Still i don't want to watch replay as there was enough evidence in highlights to suggest the teams performance.

Hodges though. What a player? I've been defending the house down on the interstate forum after origin III in his regards. He only gives me more reasons to back him up. Creaghs a pussy. again for those who don't my opinion.

hahaha! True. That was the highlight of SOO III for me, Creagh pushing Hodges and then running away :D. All Creagh does is run at Lockyer to make himself look good :p. Anyway, completely off the topic sorry!
