I wish Smith would drop the underperformers.

I would rather have lesser name players who play with committment and pride rather than some bigger name players who are playing on reputation. (Although that reputation is quickly diminishing).

The players need to know that if they don't perform they will be dropped.

doubt it is a ploy by smith we prob wont see witt in first grade this year.... the coaching staff here have their fav's and they will always get first pick...

i am not the coach, but i would gues the following.

Witt moved to bench because he went crap, and Thorman went well on friday night. neither get promoted because Dykes played well.

Wagon made more tackles than anyone else. Kat made more metres than anyone else and Vella..well i hope he is on his last warning. But the alternatives (Tsolous is just coming back from injury, and Armit did zero last week) leave Smith with little option.

Wagon at 5/8 is OK this week. Throw on Webster after the tough stuff is done, slot him in at dummy half with Morris out to 5/8, where he can go alright.

Well. I think you have to wait and see how they line up on Sunday as the coaching staff won't have had much time to analyse the Broncos game from last weekend.

I will say this though. I want Morris in the middle of the park in defence. Barry berrigan does nothing, but Shaun came in on three or four occasions and cut the warriors defence to shreds. In the centres, i don't fear him, but in the dummy half area is where he will cause trouble. I think Peterson will handle berrigan and like wise Vaealiki on Carroll.

Kativerata will cost us at least 2 tries on Sunday if he stays in the starting side. I wish I could have some money on that because I believe it is a 100% chance.

I'm sure if Jamie was still here he'd be on his arse in premier league, but well, Jamie's gone and we're stuck with him. I have no wraps on that bloke at all, after his effort against the Bulldogs, at least I saw one positive in Vellas game (his combined tackling with Corey Pearson was good, shame about his one on one efforts and the rest of his game), but Kativerata would screw up buttering bread he's that useless. Vella still doesn't deserve a spot, give the young guys a chance again, Armit, Tsoulos, Cannings.

Not happy that Webster gets the utility nod ahead of Witt or Thorman, either, but I'll wait to see their form before demanding they be in the top squad.

Why do we have a 5/8 playing half back and a lock playing 5/8.

While we are on it, why do we have a 5/8 playing half back in premmy league while last years best half back is on the bench in premmy league.

Am I alone here or does some one else find this crazy, as well.

Dykes was with the possible exception of Grothe Parra's best player v Dogs.

With Lyon going for a walk, I'm disapointed but not surprised Kativerata kept his spot at least for now but I could see O'Dwyer coming in with Petersen on the wing and Wise out of the side.

Tsoulos is only coming back this week so him in PL doesn't surprise me but I'm expecting him (assuming he gets through the PL game) to be at least on the bench next week.

Armit was in because Peek pulled out and Armit didn't do enough v Dogs (not that anyone really did) to keep Peek out who is back this week.

btw, once dropped to reggies isn't it up to the reggies coach to decide who plays where but of course certain people here will overlook that just too take another swipe at Smith he deserves a fair bit of blame but not 100%

Right on!!.....why are we neglecting our future stars for 30 + dildos!!.

This may sound stupid but the way our backline is at current i'd put Hindmarsh & Widders in there and bring in Armit into the forward pack.....our backline is terrible and hardly has bloody muscle!!

The reason Armit didnt do enough against the Bulldogs, is because Smith the goose didnt put him till the last 20 minutes, and plus we hardly had the ball in that period of the game. Shouldve really given him another chance, he did a lot better than Pearson and Vella.

I would rather sit here having a adverage year blooding juniours like Armit, Tsoulos, O'Dwyer, Graham, Thorman etc than try to go all out with players that arnt going to stay at the club long term. There is plenty of talent at the club but i feel smith is being alittle over protective with them.
