Apparently galea is out for 6 weeks with a broken thumb.
I suspect TLL to be rushed into the 17 somewhere if fit by monday.
Spewing about waddell not being our starting hooker. What the furner???

TLL definitely will come in, he basically said hes a definite. If Furner was going to move Waddell to starting hooker it will probably be a late change but unlikely for mine.

It's taken one round for me to call for Furner's head again.

How is it, seriously, how is it that he is apparently the only one on planet Earth who can't see that Tongue isn't a hooker?

We have a great hooker, a brilliant prospect, in Waddell. Let's make sure he know's he's second best to a lock shoehorned into the 9 so when his contract is up, he leaves for a starting spot elsewhere.

ffs.

Interesting McCrone is on an extended bench, nothing will probably come of it but maybe its a way of putting pressure on Herbert.

just put all your money on the broncos to score first
no chance canberra will with tongue at hooker.

I love the tongue but I almost hope he gets injured so furner can't play him at hooker.

Sorry but Waddell is not a great hooker, not yet anyway. His service is pretty average and he doesnt run from dummyhalf much either. If he's better than Tongue its only by a small margin. In saying that I agree that Furner may aswell just start with waddell.

I dont like tongue at hooker as much as the next person but Waddell has not done anything to impress me yet in first grade.

are we that dumb that we do not see how talented tongue is at hooker?? cause to me he looks like crap, guess thats why furner is coach for the smart decisions...

seriously, enough of this...one season of him at 9 and we didnt get it, two seasons and we still dont get it...this is his third season playing in the 9 and guess what...we still dont get it. He has to move out of this position asap, he doesnt have that spark.

Thats because he plays 10 minutes a game and is expected to be a match winner.

The tigers vs manly on monday night should have taught us a lesson. The longer your play makers remain on the park the better, Farrah, Marshall and Moltzan. There final try was awesome. We cannot do that move with Tongue, his a great player but just not that type of player.

the 9 role requires passing like a half back and vision like a fullback...something which tongue does not have. Waddell is a 9...he just hasnt had the time to show it. Let him play a full game and see why he ran wild in U20's. I know its a different comp but those skills dont fade away.

f**k Robinson was very average if he does nothing again this week he's gotta go! we have Milne FFS!...Am I the only one who's kinda glad Galea is injured? he was god awful whiel out there no impact and at least 2 knockons. Worst buy of the season.

Yeah I think thats a bit harsh. There were a few who rated Bronson worse buy before last season. Although I dont think Galea will rise to the level of Bronson I still think he can offer our team something. His defence was solid last week whilst he was on , attack needs improving.
Time might prove you right but I dont think we should judge on one game, there have been others who got more of a go.

you guys need to get used to the idea of tongue at hooker, because that's how it will likely stay for the rest of the year.

what did he do wrong? I thought he was very solid even with minimal amount of ball down his side. He and Croker kept try machines Jennings and Gordon try-less. Jennings didn't even make a linebreak, Gordon did at the end to setup coote but that was due to Campese' soft attempt.

Robinson showed some guts aswell jumping up for that kick with Jennings almost killing him.

I don't think you could expect him to do anymore. Good debut imo.

In reply to shear joy9 (sorry forgot to quote)

Hmmm well defensively I spose he was ok...I think my issue is that after watching players like Kelly and to a lesser extent Purts over the years, I just really can't stand having backs that never look like breaking the line. My main issues with Robinson was that he got driven back nearly every hit up he made (granted there were like only 8), and showed little footwork/flair/it factor... also he looks a bit dodgy under the high ball prob due to his height. I'm not sure how tall he is but didn't seem to be over 6ft.
So I suppose I was overly harsh b4 but with a proven explosive back like Milne I think we just don't need him atm.

If he get's an opportunity I'm sure he will show his speed and footwork. I see him as a raw Phil Graham with better defence. I think he will turn out to be a very good signing.

he's 180cm. I don't recall seeing him challenge a bomb so I'm not really sure about that.

What about Vidot though. Absolutely butchered two of the bombs on his wing. Either way, whoever's marking Folau will be suffering from post-traumatic shock after monday night.

Might have been a round 1 team but no chance now. Stuart best chance of making the side was round 1, now he'll probably struggle to get in with Carney, Milne and Monas returning soon.

Just did my tips we are favourites at $1.70 to the Broncos $2.10. So for once the bookies aren't going against us.
