Why the f**k would moving Wallace to hooker upset fans?
Move him anywhere, bench, parking lot, Krispy Kreme...just get him out of the halves.
His kicking game last week was pedestrian.
Yep he had his standard one nice long kick and the rest were average. I certainly wouldn't be angry if they moved Wallace to hooker especially if it means we get a look at TMM. Two things Wallace can do is pass and tackle so he should be adequate.
So close:My guess at what the side will be:
1. Smith
2. Mansour
3. Hiku
4. Whare
5. DWZ
6. Soward
7. Wallace
8. Mckendry
9. Peachey
10. RCG
11. Cartwright
12. Yeo
13. Merrin
14. Taylor
15. JFH
16. Latimore
17. Matagi
18. TMM (to replace Taylor on game day)
Might be ZDC at 18. But I think we will name Taylor and replace him with a rookie at the last minute.
Who is no - 20 .Never heard of him?
Oh well, only name I had wrong was Dean Whare in for Waqa Blake and it wasn't the 18th man I would have expected. But I would give Sitaleki Akauola a better chance at playing than Elijah Taylor.
Still wouldn't be shocked to see one of TMM or ZDC as a last minute call up for Taylor though.
I have no inside information. Just a gut feeling based on the way he was dropped last week and the rumors for why. I tend to believe them as it's the only logical explanation for Elijah Taylor being dropped for a rookie ahead of McKendry. If you are correct about ET, it sounds like someone in the club is trying to piss him off so much he asks for a release.
Pretty much an argument. Led to Taylor's wife blasting Gus and Griffin and ever since Taylor's been in NSW Cup. Sounds plausable seeing we have Grevsmuhl signed next year and often a new coach brings tension
Rumour posted in Round 1 thread:
That's where I read it and after being axed I feel it's a good possibility that there's atleast some truth to it.
storm in a tea cup. Different coaches have different styles. Taylor is in the mix he plays well he gets selected. But back row is hotly contested and may change week to week
Yep he has that long boot and thats about it.
Overall he just lacks spark and creativity, everything we do looks scripted. Reminds me U10's kids running a set play and being in position really early.
Would like to get a look at TMM, he could bring some unpredictability that we don't have.
We will see as the year goes on. I can't see Taylor playing barring a major injury.
