They played better than anyone could have predicted. If I were a Rooster fan I'd be bursting with pride.

But let's not engage in pravda, we were abominable.

A premiership team doesn't concede 38 points to a team expected to miss the 8. The Roosters are one of my most hated teams (the streak over them really meant something to me!) and to lose them when they are supposed to be at their lowest ebb is completely unacceptable.
Based on that performance we'll struggle to even make the 8. Hopefully it's just early season rust and Vegas hangover.

If.....IF we are going to keep this new deeper sweeping attack then Laurie is a better fullback than Dylan for us in 2025. I know that sounds crazy but it's a fact. We haven't played that deep and used our number 1 like that since prime Matty Moylan.

They completely out enthused us, played to the conditions, and executed their gameplay perfectly.

We were horrendous in every aspect of the game. Our worst game in 6 seasons.

Stuff the Roosters I will never say a kind word about that club, I can't stand the Roosters or Freddy ever since he went there in '96...
We just didn't turn up at all today, just turned up expecting to win at half pace. Should never have left our proper home ground. Penrith Stadium was like a guaranteed 9 or 10 wins in recent seasons. We're sacrificing our chance to win 5 in a row for the sake of a bloody ground rebuild.

Im 100% confident well turn it round next week..

Dyl looks like he may be out 6-8 weeks id think which is not good.

Only positive in that is blaize might get a crack at 14.

Lost a basically unlosable game according to betting odds. Cole is terrible as well and a real handbrake. We may as well give Talagi a run at 5/8 or even Laurie a go there but Laurie will probably need to be fullback now if Dyl is out. Good luck to us against the Storm because we sure will need it.

The boys regularly come off short pre seasons and we take a while to warm up amd attack to click

I wasnt confident all week. I did think wed win though so the loss hurts. But we will he fine.

Main thing is hopefully dyl is just a 2-3 week injury and not a 8 week+
