Imagine being a poor young kid Dragons supporter who has to rock up to school on Monday and be the continual butt of jokes for how poor his team continues to be. I feel for that kid.

Not a professional team. Not a team that brings excitement either. At least when I was a kid my team had a bit of passion even when they lost and I could hold my head up amongst my mates. Gutherson and Flanagan's Dragons played 60 minutes and then gave up. Even Mary's team played longer and harder.

I’m starting to think that way but in their defence they haven’t got the luxury of playing with plenty of class players around them

Our problem is that we need 2 quality front rowers, Guler and Kerr are reserve graders. Guler is terrible.
We also need 2 x quality wingers as our wingers are reserve graders.
We also need 1 x quality fullback as our fullback is running on old legs
We also need 1 x halfback as Flanigan is a reserve grader
And last of all we need a descent defence coach as Dean Young is pathetic. He has never exceeded at any coaches roll.

I'm not willing to go there just yet but have been warning that all our rising stars won't continue an upward trajectory. Some's careers will plateau and so they each need to be given sufficient chances. I'm keen to see Egan back and want Halanghau brought back into the team for next week. If ever a team needed competition for spots it's us. Look at Feagai's feeble effort when he got called up today. Our long lasting demise is due to pitiful efforts of players like that.

Goes to show how shit we are no depth at all.
So we are not on the improve under the staff we have.
I'm not saying win the comp .
Just make the 8.
I think its too hard for this club.
We are known as non winners.
When push comes to shove we turn it up.
Even when we had it in our hands 2 years ago we fcked it at Parra stadium losing to a team who almost finished last conceding 44.
That says it all about this club.
Non winners.

Nick T, Jacob H, D F, H B all better options than incumbents such as Cake, C T, L L and would allow for some much needed positional changes such as KF out of the halves if not out of the team.

Problem is nobody wants to come here.
We've had ample time and all we sign are Kerr and Atko.
As soon as we here we are in the running to sign someone you know he's not coming.

It doesn't help when we reward poor performers with continued employment. Our coaches need to be held accountable.

Yeah - I've watched both Warriors games and Jackson Ford has been immense.
Remember him? Remember what a hot prospect he was, coming up through the grades? Gets to Firsts and it's clear that Mary has no faith in him. He's in and out of Firsts or gets five minutes of the bench. Get him away from us - with a coach who is hardly A-list - and the form of his junior years is back with a vengeance.
This club has been allowed to become the place where football goes to die and it makes me very f***ing sad indeed.

A lot on here saying it takes time to rebuild a club…. Well the West Tigers started from a lower base than us at the same time FLanaghan took over. Despite the massive internal upheavals at the Tigers including the Galvin saga etc they are now a
Much better side than us…. they actually have probably one of the best young forwards packs going around…. they were
Wooden spooners 2-3 seasons ago yet they were able to recruit and are now on the up and up.

We are continually fed lies by management about how we are improving on all areas of the club….none of that seems to translate into results on the field…..and the inevitable will follow as young players impatient for success will give up

It’s called trying to get some unity within the club. Showing some faith!
Keep changing coaches you’ll be in a cycle that is “always building” as a coach will want his squad.

That's the problem, we don't keep changing coaches. It seems we hold onto them even though they fail to succeed. They are not held accountable. I say sack Dean Young and replace him with a proven defence coach, and then sack Flanagan and his son.

Bringing up reserve graders is not the answer in most cases. We already have a large number of inexperienced young players in our top 17. The solution is to weed out the deadwood in our top 30 and replace them with top level players.
