St George Illawarra Head of Athletic Performance Nathan Pickworth has provided the following injury update on back-rower Tyson Frizell.

"On Saturday night in our game against the North Queensland Cowboys, Tyson Frizell copped a blow to his testes," Pickworth said.

"Following the game, we investigated further with follow up scans which unfortunately resulted in surgery being performed in Townsville.

"Tyson this morning is in a good condition and in good spirits. We will update Red V members and fans further as more news comes to hand later in the week."

Sterlo just stated on the footy Show that he doesn't think Widdop will remain at Fullback for the entire season... stated that he was better suited to 5/8 and that we are missing his short kicking game because Norman and hunt cannot produce as good as Widdop. Thaiday said that we look better when dufty comes on....

Over to you McGregor...I bet nothing changes because he is too stubborn.

P.S Fittler confirmed Frizz out for up to 6 weeks.

With Friz out I would assume 2 scenarios:

1. (Likely) Lawrie to lock and Kerr onto the bench.

2. (Possible but unlikely) McInnes to lock and Robson to starting hooker

Whatever the scenario however, we are going to face a world of pain over the next few weeks.

Be prepared!

With Frizz out our forward depth will be tested. This is a chance for Host, LL & possibly Kerr to step up show what they can do. We are playing at Kogarah so that will hopefully give us sorely needed lift.

Hopefully lads step up like they did in the semi last year. But we were already on a hiding to nothing in regards to souffs with the luxury of a fit Friz... Expecting a nasty result unfortunately.
But at least we're starting slow out the box, which obviously means we'll peek throuh Rnd. 15 until the GF haha!
