give Aitcant to Manly so we can have Zac in the team FFS!
at least get Dufty onto wing also Periera is nothing special but Duff carved them last week just needed a little more time...he was our best attacking player but gets 10 minutes go figure.....its like Mary is paid opposition, A stooge put in by someone to DESTROY us!

my team round 2

Widdop
Ravalawa
Lomax
Lafai
Dufty ( at least hell be on the field ALL game and be able to play an unconventional role from there chinming in wherever like he did as a supersub last week)
Norman
Hunt

now with Aitken GONE and Periera gone we can not only have Duff on the wing playing a full 80 minutes we can now also have Robson OR Field to take his place as a supersub....

Round 1 - Dufty ten mins Lomax Nil
Round 2 - Dufty reserve & Lomax 18th man

I’ve said for a long time (as have many posters), that our pedestrian centres are creating the selection logjam - with them moved on, many opportunities for team improvement open up.

Obviously Waterboy wanted Hayne, and so recognised deficiencies, so which of the illustrious pair was he moving - and why?

Inglis may point that out tomorrow night.

Dragons is a big upset.
Look for them to play razzle dazzle lead by Corey Norman (cant believe it took one week for the forum to turn on him).
There will be Lafai flick passes, Hunt chip and chases, Corey goose steps, Sims will destroy Reynolds.
Big game people, fire up!

Select Lomax, Kerr, Timm and Robson in the 17 for goodness sakes. They can't do any worse than what was dished up in round 1.

Well I remember the semi final we played against you guys last year. Lomax and Kerr were both very solid. Kerr looks like he’s going to be a very good player. I’ve also heard stories about Robson slicing up NSW cup teams. Usually when a player like that comes into the NRL as an unknown they smash it because no team has done any study on the player. I would be surprised if Robson didn’t see a debut at some point this year. I think one the most frustrating part the dragons side is the fact that Aitken and Lafai fluctuate in form so much. One week Lafai is a dally m player and Aitken looks like a reserve grader then the roles are reversed the next week. Form like that would annoy the shit out of me as a supporter. It’s unorthodox but Mary could use his 4th bench spot to rotate Lomax, Aitken and Lafai each week.

All experts and opinions outside do not count as Mary knows whats best for his team as he is the coach.
It is his team and he will do it his way. Just ask him he will happily tell you.
I am just waiting for the day for some interviewer or reporter to have the balls to ask him to please explain some of the decisions he makes and instead of focussing on leading questions to excuses and positives within the team or our game quoting history and stats turned arund to suit in support which he happiily answers....to ask specific negative questions and points also quoting the same stats turned around to highlight the negative within.
That day may never come it seems

Nice to see an outsider’s lucid point of view hitting the nail on the head. Kerr?

Inconsistency is the hallmark of our centres - yet they’re an outrageously protected species at our club.

In Aitken’s case it’s because he’s a Steeler junior, and the coach is essentially a Steeler player/coach with Bruce Gordon at his back. They’re a parochial tunnelvisioned lot down there & they stick tight in the face of all logic:
No way are they going to let imposters from Temora & Murwillumbah rain on their parade - it’s tribalism & lick my ar*e stuff.
Aitken is Waterboy’s personally handpicked, fastracked Steeler junior, and Lafai his personal charity.

How ironic - the No 3 Jersey was for me the symbol of the Dragons’ greatness, and here we have a lamentable quartet of centres ruining this Club’s potential for renewed greatness :

Johnston
Waterboy
Aitken
Lafai

Our central problem in a nutshell

And the boy from Dunedoo’s sudden & unethical appointment, after thousands of misspent $$, over 98 international & local applicants - at the behest of the Gordons- personifies the administrative corruption that has destroyed the Club’s chance for renewal.
