The NRL & EELS have a major responsibility in providing a duty of care to players not coming into contact with this terrible affliction,so hopefully they get it right.
This infection once healed lays dormant in your body waiting for your immune system to be weakened and strikes again,it's not a pretty sight.
It just worries me a bit that 2 highly professional outfits as the NRL & EELS will be dealing with this one!

How would it be handled? Is there a vaccination that will be given to the Souths players?

Scratch that. It's irrelevant for today's game.

"All players and coaching staff were ordered to undergo a swab test, with three players already impacted by it.

One of those players is believed to be Kirisome Auva'a. It's understood none of the 17 players selected to face the Rabbitohs have been infected or will be forced to withdraw from Saturday's match at ANZ Stadium."

Hmmm, interesting scenario. I really hope they take everything into account and it all works out.

Cody Walker making big strides as Rabbitohs' chief playmaker: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/co...abbitohs-chief-playmaker-20180727-p4ztzx.html
Cody can provide a rock kind of play though at times...... he has been far more diamonds this year thus far though.. let's hope he can take that step further in our big matches coming up in the run home.... it felt like last week he was running in circles and we were playing too far sideways...

We need to go through the middle first like we have been then use it... we went away from our game plan last week and we need AR to build that pressure with repeat sets...

Not expecting many Eels there tonight.

13-14k crowd very likely.

No excuses as it's a family friendly time.

It’s a media hype up. My job is Microbiology and Infection Control. 22% of the population carry S.aureus, so theoretically 4 of our players are carrying it right now. It’s not contagious, but it is infectious. Meaning not everyone they come in contact with will get S.aures boils, but they could infect someone if they have an untreated open wound. Most wound infections are caused by Staph, that’s why you clean and treat wounds, basic infection control. What Parra has prob won’t be as bad as Istsa’s pic. Even if the players who have a boil played, if treated and wrapped they wouldn’t we a public health issue, I’m assuming our medical staff clean and treat our wounds:smiley:

Hymel Hunt can f**k right off. Anyone who thinks this team is a contender is absolutely kidding themselves. That’s ok, this season is already a success, but any premiership talk needs to stop. We just arent that good.

This team is depressing. That was a f**king horrible pass. Thank god for AJ’s long middle finger.

That is the most f**kin pathetic call I have ever seen. How can you penalise Jennings for attempting to catch the ball? What horseshit is this?
