Yet another edge-of-the-seater but no cigar....it's got to be heartbreaking but the opposition dogs very much had the the refs support; some of those calls showed clear bias against us depsite clear precedents and NRL edicts. I am not gonna winge about this player or that player not carrying their weight....every team has players that get carried to some extent by more talented players....what I feel we do lack is a touch of class; x-factor players able to eek out victories in tight finishes; Lomax had x-factor about him and he wanted out; McInnes is an absolute warhorse and we let him go. losing Val Holmes didn't and doesn't help us any. but if we can maintain that level of intensity every week and lift our smarts a notch or two, we can go with any team i reckon....I mean we had them on the racks and should've one except for bad calls and 6-agains. Can't beat the refs boys.

Ridiculous comment.

How many teams go straight for a two point field goal after catching a long drop out?

You do realise that you have to be behind the 40 meter line to get two points for a field goal, most teams are at the 40 or past it after tackle 1 or 2 after receiving a drop out, meaning you'd have to take a shot after tackle 1.
You’ve successfully removed my enjoyment of the laughing emoji. It used to deliver a frisson of empathy but now conveys mere derision.

What irritates me is that I’ve read 2 media articles speaking out against that Harry Grant penalty - yet nothing on the dud calls against the dragons. Could someone please send me the link to one so that I don’t fall totally into the conspiracy theory crew!!!

Some of these members are absolute nuts. Absolutely bonkers some of you muppets.
Look who is on the inside with f**k all idea or any communication. Sloan had to come in there was no other option, Kyle didn't even keep connection with Suli on this inside and completely fked our edge D. Suli and Sloan had to come in and anyone that knows footy would agree, Kyle made there decisions more difficult.

the short dropout isnt just used to get the ball back. the reason its so widely adopted is because defending your goal line is the easiest position in your half to defend. if you think about it, the players only have to rush up and get back a couple of meters. this reduces the efficiency of a quick play the ball because there is no gaps, it also conserves the energy of the defensive line. all-in-all, i don't think it was s dumb decision but i wouldnt have been mad if they went long either, they could have just as easily scored no matter where the dropout landed and lets face it they would have been in the red zone by tackle 2 the way we give easy meters, but more fatigued from the chase
+ the opportunity for a 2 point field goal.

Another f**k up from Kyle, but his Dad made sure there'd be no questions about the merit of his selection by blaming the refs all press conference.

He had a whole list of things.. Bulldogs were there for the taking we just couldn't get the W, that's why Illias was dropped so let's see if he sticks with Kyle or moves him on because his kicking on the first half was diabolical and add in his defensive issues with connection he needs to take some responsibility for the close loss.

Anybody who cannot give credit for that effort is a flog and should just fxck off.

How Flanno has been able to start with a crap squad, lose his front rower (Molo), lose our tradesman in Eisunhuth and Sele. Lose Couch, Couch, Egan, CT, and now Val and still get these guys up against the Raiders (1st), Roosters (gun squad), Doggies (2nd). Be in every game bar 2 the whole season. All this and blood 5 youngsters.
This team won't give up and that is a sign of an excellent leader. I was so proud of these guys and have been all season. Flanno gets them up every week. And yet there are f**kers on here who won't relent on the fxcking agendas. Yes, he's made mistakes, but there is no doubt this squad is playing way, way, way above the talent level.
The same fxcjers said we get a 50 burger put on us......same as they said against the Raiders and the Roosters and the Sharks.........these aren't real supporters, they are fxcking trolls and they need to be put on ignore. It really is bliss not having to debate with idiots. Don't debate with idiots as they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Well said. Just imagine if we add 2 to 3 new signings and all the injured players back & the 5 or so rookies with more experience under their belts, next year not so bad ? Mind you these 2 to 3 new signings will need to be good.

Agree but he is untouchable while Daddy is coach, he'll play out the rest of the season at half barring any injuries or suspensions IMO.

We'll probably see him and Atkinson partner up in the halves for 2026 as well I'd say.

Thanks H - but I can’t believe it pretty much still blames the dragons for the loss…… sounds like it was written by some of the so called “supporters” on this site!!!

If Gutherson had not done the short drop out but kicked 50 meters might have been a different result. I didn’t think any team could do worse but then poor old Knights this afternoon. When the footie gods are against you……
