our on line goal defence was brilliant but in the middle of the field it was terrible

It was a top effort but a smarter side wins that game with the chances they had

Agree. The amount of ball we turned over in that 2nd half was just criminal. Even when we got to the end of a set we'd put up a midfield bomb or grubber straight to a winger standing 10m from the corner post. The lack of composure on display was astounding.

But you are so hellbent on defending Sheens and the club at every opportunity that you are blind to the issues that we see every week.

Trust me that is definitely not the case. I just try and look at things and be reasonable. The problem is that you and others just speak dribble to back up your stupid closed minded opinions.

The players put in out there. They were decimated by injury and gave it a real crack. Benji and Robbie were both terrible with the game on the line and that is the problem. It wasn't Sheens fault that Benji and Robbie came up with poor plays on a consistent basis out there. Why not blame the right people rather than speak shit.

The only one who is speaking shit is you. I never blamed Sheens for yesterday's performance, you just don't get it do you?

I blame Sheens for what he's responsible for, which is the same issues we see every week. I.e his piss poor use of the interchange bench, his insistence on playing players out of position, the fact that in his entire tenure as coach we have never been able to consistently defend at a level good enough for first grade, his often absurd team selections, the inability to admit when he's wrong and on and on and on.

You are a Sheens apologist and will defend him to the hilt at every opportunity, so don't start whinging like a little bitch when people call you out on it.

Let me ask you this, if this team doesn't make the 8 after being touted as premiership favorites, should Sheens fall on his sword/be replaced? Or will you blame injuries for the failure?

Your f**ken crazy. I couldn't give a shit about Sheens. If he goes great. If he stays no problems.

As for whinging like a little bitch - have a look at your posts. I'm not the whinger - you are.

So, if i agree with you that it was a good effort (let down by poor execution and no brains), then exactly what the f**k are you arguing about?

Anyway, answer my question. Should Sheens be moved on if we don't make the 8 with this side?

Its hard to say Sheens should be move on. It depends on who replaces him.

I think a change would be a good idea however the change would need to be a positive one. I don't want Stuart anywhere near the club. I don't want someone like Brian Smith either although I'd prefer him over Stuart.

I'd like someone like Gentle at the club. Talks well, seems like a professional coach and not asking ridiculous amount of dollars.

how many games would you say sheens has cost us directly?

My gripe with Sheens has never been about individual games. In many cases, I believe he has a capable game plan, but as many agree our players have not executed this. In the semi finals in the last two years, poor plays by Marshall and Farah cost us. This year, Marshall has been absolutely dreadful and has also been a factor as to why we are no longer a dangerous attacking side.

However, surely Sheens is ultimately responsible for this? The buck stops with the head coach, it's as simple as that. Questions need to be asked about why he is trying to turn the best runner of the ball in the game into a catch and pass merchant. Benji has always and will always be an instinctive player, why is he trying to change that? Poor recruitment and the inability to find a halfback to partner Benji post-Lui falls on Sheens, nobody else. Now I realize the loss of Lui is not Sheens' fault, but failing to find a halfback isn't exactly something new. This is the same person who persisted with Morris at half for almost three years when it was painfully obvious to anyone that he wasn't a halfbacks arsehole.

In regards to this year, I believe Sheens is ultimately responsible for the following:

- Going into the season two props short. This contributed to our early season woes and our poor start. This also threw a young player to the wolves (Groat) so much so that his confidence is still affected even months later.

- Poor bench use. Nothing more needs to be said. This happens almost every week and is absolutely killing us. Look at the first half: played at a frantic pace, we picked up two injuries and yet he only made two interchanges. It's f**king ridiculous.

- Playing players out of position. Moltzen is not a fullback. Lawrence is not a five eighth. Ayshford is not a five eighth. Fulton is not a hooker. And so on. How hard is it to replace a prop with a prop, or a hooker with a hooker. And please don't f**king tell me there was nobody to replace these players with. It's rubbish. We have a talented 20s side and the BRET side to use.

- Refusal to drop underperforming players. In the past six or so years I can only recall two players being dropped for poor form (Fitzhenry and Ayshford). Both were back in one week. These players know they can underperform without consequence, they know they will never be dropped. This breeds mediocrity.

- Failing to give a halfback a proper run. Lui was clearly the only player Sheens trusted. He's tried other players there, but only for a few games and even if they have performed well they've been punted. Why hasn't Miller been given a go? Why did Humble get dropped, despite playing reasonably well? Why was Sironen clearly instructed to get out of the way and let Benji run the show?

- Persisting with a lack of speed out wide. We have zero pace at the back. Why does Reddy keep getting picked? Despite an injury to Tuqiri we still see no fresh injection of pace. Why will it likely take a crippling injury toll to see some fresh players blooded?

I've probably missed a few other points.

*Waiting til injuries hit to look for park players to fill the void.
*Paying overs to retain or recruit new players
*Dwindling interest in bringing through Juniors (When he started, he brought though a mass of juniors, only a handful have come through in the last 3 years)
*Too much power/control given to players.
*Inability to modify coaching style with the changes in the game. We are still playing a similar structure to that of 2005. We are seeing now that it clearly isn't viable.
*Inability to coach defensive structure.

I'd like someone from outside the club. Someone with no ties to any current players or staff.

I would consider someone like Daniel Anderson or Jim Dymock.

your
In regards to this year
for me, Post of the Year and yes, there are most likely many more points that you have missed.

Who is Sheens accountable to?
Who is the CEO accountable to?

I'm happy to lose every game for the rest of the season if it was certain to rid us of Sheens.
Even then, he would blame injuries and Benji would have his back which is why Humphries is a spineless cat. If Sheens walked I'm sure Benji would go with him like a lap dog and spineless cat would be sacked for losing our so called star and head coach.
Humphries wants to keep his job just as much as everyone else.
