yes, i ment if this game is not played this week. and he serves the suspention next week against the roosters, he then would be available for this postponed match.

I don't think they will postpone this round until just before the finals - I think everything will just get bumped back by however many weeks...

In a semi Api will play 80... so won't matter who is on the bench.

Look at the minutes by the bench last finals. Even Storm didn't use Hynes and their 3rd benchie got less than 20 mins.

Regardless a bench rotation of: TPJ, Martin and Leinu is enormous.

You don't think Cleary will game manage Papenhuyzen out of the play? If we keep turning him around.

The Storm are middle of the road in kick return metres and similar for Kick metres. These get overlooked because they are great at punishing the mistakes.

That is where our squad is way better and why if reletively fit the comp is ours to lose
Surely TPJ realises this is the best chance he will get at a premiership. If he brings anything like his best he will be a game changer

It might even take QLD longer than a week.

Brisbane had six local cases today out of nowhere.

I think we are talking about a week long lockdown at least, which would mean the whole comp goes back two weeks, given it would mean cancelling today and tomorrow’s games plus next week as well. That’s if the NRL is willing to post pone the GF. The alternative would be that the games are cancelled.
100%. Given Queensland stance thus far if there are further cases in the days ahead, they will extend there lockdown beyond the initial 72 hours. Peter V’Landys will have to be very persuasive to convince there Acting Premier and Chief Medical Officer Dr Janette Young to allow the NRL to continue during lockdown. I just can’t see it, sadly, they have demonstrated there lack of compassion numerous times by refusing entry to there state to allow family to visit dying relatives I just don’t see them granting the NRL an exemption to play on regardless of how much the NRL have invested.

I just do not understand why they don't allow the game to go ahead, without the crowd?

A lot of people would share that view but sadly Palaszczuk and Dr Young have been ruthless from the word go and given a large proportion of the population is retirees they have been lauded in Queensland by the older population. They have sent there tourist and service industries to the brink given there lockdowns in peak periods during this past 18 months so they are not going to demonstrate any favouritism to the NRL. I doubt there Chief Medical Officer has ever seen a game of NRL and cares for it not one bit. She is a flip, as she has demonstrated on numerous occasions.

This reeks of desperation, and incompetence.

The players left the bubble and have been out in the community since thursday
Good point. The given the a rapid COVID testing. I know this as a fact, as someone I know works in QLD health, that the results can be confirmed in a hour.

Sadly, our nations leaders probably haven’t covered themselves in glory during our response to this pandemic.

Im not about bashing our politicians it is largely a thankless job and they are vastly underpaid in my opinion, but mistakes have made which sadly we are paying for now and will continue to do so for many years to come. The dire financial consequences are going to be with us for generations long after the health issues around Covid May have largely passed on.

I disagree. In Sydney, this was started in the Eastern Suburbs, and from that transport worker, my point is one can not legislate against stupidity. Also, I believe that the protest march had a lot of positive cases. I posted a picture of a Panther fan, who attended that rally, and he was COVID positive.

On another note, our game will be postponed. Please, read the attached article. https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...3NvxYsxc0a4nBJDRMAbUHzWmHquXdJQVIjjUvbwaQUAFY

Yes, I understand your point but at the same time we have gone down a path of eradication of Covid within our shores which was never possible while ever we allowed returned citizens from hotspots, incoming freight by shipping and aircraft etc. There is no magic solution, we are stuck with Covid for years to come, at some point we will have to learn to live with it and we can only hope a high vaccination rate may go someway to accomplishing that goal.

If 80% of the population are fully vaccinated, then we can live with this virus. I have had my first jab, AstraZeneca. My second one is due at the end of September.

No my wife is high risk, she has no immune system given she receives regular chemo infusions for her situation so she had to get Pfizer, three weeks between doses.
Yeah I get that. I am aged 51, I am a heart attack survivor, and I have a history of medication intolerance, so I had speak to the doctor first. Fortunately, the doctor gave her approval. I had my first jab on the 9th, and 22 days later, no signs of blood clots, so I will be fine. I had no reactions either, not even pain.
