Yes...i know....Was hoping that if we win spoon they may reconsider..........Clutching @ Straws.......
No never the spoon, but second or third last will be enough for required drastic changes. If we keep the same coaching staff we will be favourites for spoon next year.

I don’t think boycotting the match will
achieve anything positive. Get there support the club through thick and thin. But continue to voice your disapproval of the way the club is managed and run. Join the leagues club, nominate for the board or vote a better board in. Sign petitions, etc. Hurting the club financially and the players mentally will do more harm than good. It’s cutting off your nose despite your face.

Well since you like throwing hard earned money around lemme know when you wanna throw some my way wouldn’t mind a nice holiday

Both Aitken and Lafai played very poorly against Souths. I'd like to see a centre combination of Ravalawa on the right and Norman on the left. Both of these players would put the wingers away. I would also like to see Lomax at fullback and Kerr in the run-on side at 8. Graham, K Sims, Lawrie and Dufty (because Mary will always put a back on the bench). Leilua to start in the 13 jumbper as lock.
1. Lomax
2. Pearson
3. Ravalawa
4. Norman
5. Saab
6. Widdop
7. Hunt
8. Kerr
9. McInnes
10. Vaughan
11. T Sims
12. Frizell
13. Leilua

14. Graham
15. K Sims
16. Lawrie
17. Dufty or Ford

If Kogarah is way closer to empty than full, how can the board brush that off?
It would be a clear sign that people are over it imo.
The media pressure would also have to pickup and thats what it's gonna take, unfortunately. Because this board aren't going to do it unless their hand is forced.
It’s closer to empty than full quite often and it had made no difference. The club does not earn much from revenue from attendance at home games compared to other sources of funding. Boycotting home games will affect the players negatively and achieve little else, management will not care and they are the issue.

Agree.

A packed KJO with Sack Board/Coach signs would achieve more than an empty ground.

Having said that I’ll be struggling to watch it on TV let alone go to my favourite place on the planet.

Shame on the current old boys at the helm. All of you f**kc off now and never come back.
Agree with two thirds

View attachment 31772 I can’t get to Kogarah anymore but if I could I would go just to support the players

I understand wanting to support the players...we as fans are between a rock and a hard place...people keep attending games and the club views this as a stamp of approval....And that's what the club wants............

boycotting games will send them a message........

Phil Gould fires warning shot to 'mediocre' St. George Illawarra Dragons

Phil Gould has fired a warning shot towards the St. George Illawarra Dragons after their heartbreaking final-minute loss to South Sydney on Friday night, saying they must review their performance 'honestly' despite an improved effort.

The Dragons have been abysmal in their past month of footy, but almost snatched a miraculous win from the jaws of defeat against the second-placed Rabbitohs.

Trailing by 12 points in the 66th minute and being dominated by the Rabbitohs all game, the Dragons managed to take a two-point lead with a minute on the clock, after a pair of quickfire tries to debutant Jason Saab and a huge 79th minute penalty goal from captain Gareth Widdop.

The elation of the Red V faithful was shortlived however, as the Rabbitohs reclaimed the short kick off and scored through winger Campbell Graham on the final siren.

Whilst the Dragons went within seconds of downing one of the premiership favourites and ending their winless streak, Gould says coach Paul McGregor and his players must be wary of the way they assess the sides efforts.

"The Dragons were better, and I think there's a real danger for the Dragons and their coach if they look at that and say 'okay that was a big improvement, we're back,'" he said on Macquarie Sports Radio's The Gus Gould Show.

"They're not back. They weren't great. They've got a lot more in them than what they showed last night.

"There were some better signs, but there was still a lot of mediocre stuff there.

"If they accept well that was a great result we only just got beaten tonight by a good side, we could've easily won - it's going to come against them next week.

"They need to honestly review that game. Some of the things can't be fixed right now, they need to be fixed in the off-season, but they're not back yet

After being resting the previous week, Dragons halfback Ben Hunt had a mixed night in his return to the side, making two costly errors and missing two crucial tackles.

Gould was scathing of the performance from the Dragons' million dollar man in Channel 9's post-game commentary. and doubled down on his comments on Saturday morning.

"I as really dissapointed the halfback Ben Hunt, I thought his performance was poor for a player that they rely so much upon," he said.

"He's the highest paid player in the club, not that money comes into it but there is a big responsibility that comes with that.

"He came up with so many poor plays in the game both in attack and defense and it was just not good enough, on the back of having a rest last week because he's comes through the Origin and he's tired.

"I can't imagine too many of the great halves in our game having a rest on his team when they're in such a position on the competition table."

For South Sydney it wasn't a win that would've filled supporters with confidence. Despite leading for most of the game and dominating the territory, the Rabbitohs failed to put the final sword through the Dragons and almost let the win slip.

Gould wasn't convinced by the side's performance given the way some of the other top sides in the competition are currently travelling, but is insistent on them turning it around.

"South Sydney aren't grabbing me at the moment," he said.

"They tend to be able to just get through games and they're bowling along in second position I know, but still a long way behind the Roosters and Melbourne Storm.

"The old coach Wayne Bennett, he's very cunning though. Whilst they're in this good position and they're sneaking through and winning games, I don't think he'll put a lot into them at the moment.

"We're still seven weeks from the finals, he knows it's a long race. It's what you do in September that counts.

"They've got a game against Melbourne Storm about three or four weeks out from the finals and I think he might target that one as measure of just how they're going.

"That will then give him a guide as what he's got to proivde over the last month of football leading into the finals."

Friday night's win has the Rabbitohs firmly entrenched in the top four in second position, four points clear of the Roosters and Raiders.

For the Dragons however, the devastating loss appears to have put the final nail in the coffin for what's been a dissapointing year.

Thanks Gus but we didnt need you to tell us the obvious....for us that know the game we are miles ahead of your comments.....maybe you could visit our boardroom at their next meeting and tell them ...they obviously dont

Blood Shot...I think these comments are good...after the game Gould was unfairly hammering Hunt....

The more pressure on the Board and Coach the better...............They are not interested in what the fans have to say.

Your intentions are good but you’re exactly the kind of supporter the club depends upon and allows them to get away with the crap they’ve been dishing up since 2012. You’re part of the problem despite your good intentions. Each membership purchased justifies the incompetence of the board and allows them to get away with the mediocrity they have slopped up to us for the best part of a decade. They’ll continue to do it as long as people like you let them without holding them to be accountable for their actions.
Remember, that membership is a two way transaction - you’re entitled to gain a reasonable amount of enjoyment and satisfaction from the money you give to the club, and there’s been precious little of that since the end of 2011.

Mate I’m not talking about getting RedV membership. I’m talking about getting leagues club membership. It’s completely different.
Leagues club membership does not transfer to the football club, however, it grants you voting rights for three positions on the football club’s board.

Gould’s attack on Hunt really pi55ed me off.
I reckon it was premeditated, providing we lost.
Whether it was to try & take the heat off his mate who knows, but I found it strange that he singled out Hunt when he only critiques others without the enthusiasm he showed the other night.

He singled out Hunt because he was abysmal and considering his pay rate he should be doing much better for us.
I am no Gould fan but he is correct in his criticism of Hunt because the mistakes he makes are appallingly bad and most are quite simple.
The trouble is, it looks biased when he doesn't also offer criticism of others who rightfully deserve it e.g. Tariq Sims, Lafai, Aitken etc but just because he doesn't do that, doesn't make his criticism of Hunt incorrect.

Ben Hunt deserves criticism.
He should have played last week and he definitely should have stood up this week after the rest.
He was terrible and I can only surmise that his head isn't in the game.
