!@#%^*))(((!@#%? Yes the game of the century folks. I think we ran fastest backwards in this game then any other in the Broncos lifespan. Yes life not as we know it...Beam me up and please send Norman into the stratosphere as well..and Hunt? Don't like to pick on individual players but just as we're getting momentum after putting on 2 tries in the second half and about to score the third and get within a converted try and do the unthinkable and pressure the eels ..Hunt does the unthinkable and kicks one of the worse soul destroying kicks while 10,000 thousand broncos fans lower there heads and cry into their beers. But tbh that was Hunts only major blunder. Wallace looked flat out flawed. Our left side needed a terminal tourniquet! Open slather/slaughter out wide up the guts on the edges you name it we'll let you pass by with only a slap and a tickle. Capwell was terrible but Norman bled like a chook with missed tackles. Is that the girls on the field? Maybe we should just replace the whole team with the Womens Soo players?

McGuire tried hardest even though his defence let him down at times. Gillett tried as well in attack but his tackling was constantly woeful. Hanging a hand out while the eels simply went around him and totally disappointing especially from a guy we once applauded for his big shots. T'eo also tried hard. Thaiday WTF. I'm sure he'd play better without the weight of captaincy. All these guys seemed to have turned off since Soo. They just couldn't care less about the comp now and winning. They certainly don't give a flying F*** about sending Civo off on the right note! And on the subject of Mr. Nice guy and great ambassador for the sport i agree that Petro looks outta puff missing tackles and there's not an offload in sight but then i don't think there's any players running off him? Actually our whole team seems to be running solo with one ups. There's no hunger for the ball or any single player putting their hand up? Maybe McGuire... While they look defeated they always will be. Amazingly bad!

Are you kidding yourself? We wouldnt have even been in that attacking position if it wasnt for Hunt, and that kick was in the 69th minute. The game was already over by then. Hunt should be our halfback. Capewell was the one that destroyed the momentum with his dummy half scoot on the last.

Our leader sets the example for the younger guys and our leader is a lazy grub who misses unmissable tackles. Gillets defence is disgusting. He and Norman blamed each other for missing a bloody easy tackle. I rated that worse than the thumping to Canberra in 09 because Canberras team was decent. Mcguire runs hard but he made 7 missed tackles and let through an easy linebreak. Corey Norman is a little pussy cat with his defence.

Does mccullough only practice dummies over and over at training?

Heartless performance last night. Wallace got named again as well. Very disappointed in Griffin.

I didn't see the game because I don't have pay TV, but I just watched the highlights. Our defence is woeful. The sooner they get backrowers out of the centres, the better off we'll be out there.

I said it after the Canberra game earlier in the season, Hunt should be our halfback with Norman 5/8. Norman's best go is when he gets the ball 2 wide and can straighten and take the line on - much like John Sutton does for Souths. Hunts best go is getting the ball at first receiver and creating. You can see when he gets the ball at first receiver, he can read the play pretty well and often makes good decisions. Obviously he's not perfect, but Peter Wallace has had so long now to show he's got what it takes to lead the team, and in all honesty, he's had 1 good game all season against I think the Roosters a few weeks back.

Our season is certainly not over yet. There's still 5 weeks till the finals, which is heaps of time to correct things, but we've been ordinary for about 4 or 5 weeks now. I really think if Wallace doesn't get it right this week, then Griffin will have to hook him and put Hunt in 4 weeks out from the finals to try and ignite something with Norman for a run into the finals. If we play like we did against Parra for the rest of the season, we won't win another game, and won't make the 8.

Kidding myself... yeah i do that a lot in here to keep myself sane?:) If you were reading instead of reacting i also commented that was Hunts only major blunder. But it was major and crucial at that stage of the game. And with 10 minutes to go you're still in the game especially if we had scored then! QLD sides pride themselves with the never say die attitude (usually) and the last 10-15 minutes of any game is up for grabs even if your trailing by 2 converted. And i wouldn't call Thaiday a lazy grub but he had a shocker. I don't think he enjoys being captain at all. Seems to reign him in too much. In the past the guy always looked dangerous with the ball shrugging off tackles left right and center and offloading as well but this year he just hasn't got that determination in him. If it's the captaincy or something else who knows?

Anyway I'll leave this game where it belongs - in the past and FFS hope we get some pride back in us against the Canberrians.
