I'm want the NRL to go much harder on head contact. Otherwise this sport doesn't exist in 20-30 years.
Good news for us though

Its come along way over the last 5 or so years tho.

Its a contact sport... unfortunately accidents happen...

The nrl have basically stomped put the thug shots... and if a player gets one wrong they are generally sent aka brown the other night...

With the new concussion rules and strictness around that the game is going in the right direction.

But youll just never eradicate them... accidemts happen

I love watching Lindsay play, perpetual motion in defence and when we have the ball. Always does all the 1 pecenters really well. Effort upon effort defensively and we have the ball he will take a hit up, play the ball abd rush back into the line to provide an option or run a decoy on the next play, never stops working. And I think he could have a lot of development left him, like a Yeo or fish who really went to another level around 25 or 26. That’s not certain of course but he’s got size, mobility, a bit of skill and most importantly the right attitude.
All the 1% stuff you talk about was always referred to as "unrewarded running".
No stats for it, no cheer from the crowd for it, but will always get a pat on the back for it in the dressing room.
Superstars, with all their brilliance, rarely display this type of effort stuff, but the Lindsay Smith type, solid team players, are just as important to the team as the superstar.
Let's just smile and enjoy this young man's remarkable improvement.

Last night, Corey Parker during the post match discussion was marvelling at how the team was full of no names. He mentioned Smith, Salmon and Hosking and was basically saying you look at the team list and go "so what", yet the players come on and do their jobs and you don't notice they have replaced a big name player. Impressive coaching and club culture. I thought Smith was outstanding starting against the Storm. He is set for a good career.

Chins is in here bagging Hosking, yet the Storm scored 1 try. Think about that. The Storm have Grant and Munster, two of the most destructive attacking players in the game and yet they were unable to exploit Hosking out in the centres. Furthermore, Hosking got two try assists, two line break assists and 3 tackle breaks.

Hosking is a third choice centre at best. Yet he held his own against one of the elite attacking teams. Hoskings and the coaching staff should take a bow.

Parker is right. There plenty of no name players in the team and yet they perform at an elite level. I remember when the Storm were like that. They take your cast offs and turn them into quality players.

The coaching staff at the Panthers are barely mentioned but they deserve massive praise.

After the Warriors player was taken off on a stretcher, they lifted and overpowered the Panthers. Some benevolence from the referee helped as well!

30 secs out from halftime. We are up 10-4.

Take a short drop out instead of going long, They score in the corner.

3 tries scored off mistakes by the back 3, No one to blame but ourselves

Agree Pomoz, but the coaching staff at Penrith were mentioned a lot until this year. Barrett and Ciraldo were talked up as messiahs, the architects of our success.

The true architect of our success get little respect because he doesn’t engage with the media. But to watch Bellamy go into that press conference and effectively admit that Penrith are just too good speaks to everything that has built.

Hosking did not hold his own at center and should not be playing there but it could have been worse and he pulled off one nice pass and one very nice pass.

Was bagging Ivan actually. We have fit backs who would have done better. I really like Hosking as a player.

Edwards took more responsibility for play making last night and it worked, he called the ball on the short side with no halves there (and Kenny went to him) more than once, it's a really good sign for the attack.

Hot Milo is the GOAT drink I'll have you know.

Chins wasn't criticising Hosking there shouldn't be multiple pages saying he was this is why we get animosity.

Cleary is going to be an immortal ask me which one and the answer is yes.

This is the problem to people reacting to the poster and not the post. It was obvious what Chins was saying, and it wasn't having a go at Hosking.

All things considered he did a reasonable job for the most part, but he aint a center, that much is obvious to anyone with eyes. Can't fault his effort for a second though, I'm glad we have him.

Martin got a knee to his shoulder so was a cork
Crichton same
Edwards has a sore chest. A few big hits
To'o hurt his pec. Again a cork

nothing is too serious but should be rested over the next month or so

Edwards needs a break. He struggled in the 2nd half. Only 69 meters for the game. Still controlled everything well. But he looks tired.
