Damn you Maple you jinxed us!

Seg wasn't on crutches after the game or didn't go up the tunnel so that's something. Simmons & Yeo should both be back for the finals at the latest. Atleast they aren't season ending.

Agreed. Lets have no more "they are very durable" comments please.

We all know they are all made from candy floss and likely to end up in intensive care they are so delicate. We will be lucky if anybody even lasts to the end of the week. I expect the entire team to be smashed and put into hospital by the brutal Storm pack with at least 14 more season ending knee reconstructions.

Fingers crossed, there, that should do it.

If Seg is gone, we are f**ked.
Have faith in Cleary. The way he has gone this season he will probably bring an unknown in from Harold Matthews who will take time off from school to play and fit right in. He might not be as good as Segs but he will definitely know the game plan and try his guts out. In Ivan we trust.

Hard to believe we could win with the errors we made and our shocking goal line defence. Almost the complete opposite of last week's display, but I'll blame that on the weather. Never seen us control the ball so poorly in dry games.

Yep, Has been ordinary the last month, in defense and attack.

With the majority of attack going Jamal's way in recent weeks and with Mansour and Simmons having been out and Whare having to shift to wing on a number of occasions, I'm not surprised his form has been a little patchy. I expect to see him return to form with some stability. He is a much better centre than winger.

It's hardly a matter of durability when your injury is the result of a 100kg+ forward falling on your ankle. Boy that Melbourne side never seems to cop an injury. Cronk smith and Slater are just always there.
That better?

 yep. Pretty much all of those grub QLDers don't get hurt.

Pomoz lets hope your right and we atleast get Moseley on the bench. Kingston at 9 offers nothing in attack. Given Peachey & Bryce are gone we don't even have the players elsewhere to help Soward out. He's good but not superman

Methinks you exaggerate just a tad. We are listed as making 8 errors to the Cowboys 13 and completion rate of 33/40 against their 25/36. These are very respectable numbers in a wet, windy game.

The couple of mistakes that were made were in front of our sticks, and can mostly be put down to the wind which was not only very strong, but gusting as well. This is why Thurston hoisted the bombs early.

What about Brown to 9?? Surely gotta be a better option then Kingston.

The reason Brown is on the bench is because of his utility value. He's doing a tremendous job for us in that capacity and Kingston is an experienced first grade hooker. The coach has already revealed his hand in the presser. We should now be aiming for a low scoring tacklefest, which is how the Bulldogs won in Melbourne a few weeks back.

another good tough win by the boys. We are playing with confidence and commitment at the moment but didn't play well in the second half I thought. Looking forward to some panthers finals footy this year

I never said we made a lot of mistakes. The mistakes we made were huge though.

Mansour dropped the first kick of the game... giving away our first possession and a try. Then Moylan let a ball bounce, and when he regathered it was tackled in goal, giving possession back to Cowboys again. I think at that point we still hadn't actually had the ball. We got lucky that the Cowboys threw a no look offload, as we didn't look like holding them out through our defence.

Then there's the DWZ drop ball, again on our line. Whare not far out from our line. These errors to give sets on our line were massive. Obviously the wet weather and strong winds played a part in those errors, but coming away with a win when you're basically gifting sets on your line and then defending it as poorly as we did isn't going to win you very many games.

I'm happy with the win... there were some great things to take out of it. Considering our injury list, we have no right to be winning 3 games in a row. But somehow we have managed to do so, despite some massive errors last night that we struggled to defend. Jamie Soward picked the perfect time to play his best game of the season for us. Moylan may have kicked the match winning field goal, but Soward won us that game.

A great win last night but I wonder how long we can keep it up for with all these injuries. I thought we played so well in the first half particularly against the wind but made some really dumb decisions in the second. It's going to take a huge effort to beat the storm next week with all our injuries and their 3 playing (why is it they never get injured?)

I consider the Storm forward pack to be pretty ordinary. Were matched by, again, a fairly ordinary Knights pack. If our forwards can get a decent roll on again (we may miss Seg in that area), I see no reason why we can't put the Storm away, who in my opinion are the weakest side in the top 8.

It is a good point you make. I, like many others was concerned that the big Cowboys pack would steam roll us, especially with us missing our tackling machine Taylor. But Plummy and Docker stuck it too them and the whole team tackled like Demons. Idris decided that he would pull off some big hits (Morgan will be waking up in a sweat calling out for his mum after THAT tackle) and the team effort nullified the Cowboys big boppers.

If we can do that again, we can beat the Storm.
