Veeeeery scary game.

Manly will come out swinging this one after our last encounter.

I just hope we have a dig and that eventuates in a win - I don't care if it's by 1 point.

Obvious that this is the hardest road trip in the game at this point in time. Fortress Brookie. Hands down the worst ground in the comp. amateur hour set up but an electric atmosphere. We have a habit of beating Manly when we need it most.

Funny, every time I think of Manly my first thought isn't the 1997 grand final.

It's the 2006 we played against them at home. They had a penalty to win the game in the last 2 or so minutes, they missed it and Mullen runs 100m only to get held up about an inch out from the line.

Then we go on to win after spreading the ball to Brian Carney I believe.

We are as good as sunk this week. Manly are superior to our bunch of muppets in just about every way and will be looking for some revenge for the pasting we gave them when half their side had the flu, coughing up lungs and sipping on lemon tea.

We simply cant keep overachieving forever. At some point the Drugcastle losing culture will shine through

Yep, refs won us the game last night.

We are a joke of a football team, pretenders of the highest order.

Perhaps if the boys got off the gear we'd be a chance of keeping it respectable but that'll never happen. LOL@KN0UGHTS.

Knights team unchanged. Manly expected to welcome back Matai. Could be the first time since R1 they've been full strength?

2006 would probably have been our last fair go at a premiership, and a top season (not to mention Joeys last full year), it's kinda disappointing that I was overseas from late June to late September and didn't get to see our run. I was having the finals recorded for me (and not checking if we won) but I got a text from a Broncos fan gloating about them thrashing us in the finals so I never watched them.

That Broncos final was the worst. Without Simpson and Buderus our disgraceful pack just didn't turn up. Must have missed about 70 tackles in the ruck alone that night. Perry, Tolar, Reynoldson, Lowrie... against Webcke, Civoneceva, Carroll, Thaiday, Hannant - erghhh. Hagan certainly ended his tenure at the club fittingly with the nuffies he nurtured/recruited getting belted with little resistance.

Yep, the Broncos put 50 on us that night at the SFS. I had the misfortune to be there that night for the capitulation.

We did well to run 4th with such a rubbish pack, Joey really could polish turds.

Ugh. I watched that preliminary final at my place, alone. It was one of those games where I really, really wished a Rugby League match only lasted 60 minutes. When Kidley scored it was such an unexpected feeling of relief that at least we got points on the board. As soon as the match finished I went to my room and downed the rest of the Bundy bottle my mate had given me for my 21st to numb the disgust.

The next day the Courier Mail tried to claim that the match was "proof" that Lockyer> Johns.
