I've said this before, Melbourne has a very limited game plan.

Plan A, go to Katoa with a kick or isolate one defender.

Plan B, kick it to Coates

After that, control Munster and Grant, which were pretty good at that until golden point.

Stop half the success they had last night kicking it to Coates and we win. I can't put up any decent ideas on how we do it, but maybe just belt the ball dead and kick the crap out of the ball from the drop out and start again. But at this rate, Melbourne will score three tries every week just by kicking to Coates

We missed Yeo.
It's quite easy really, instead of kicking the ball to Munster they really should have been giving it to Coates and making him do a lot of work coming out of their end.
If you belt him every time you hand the ball over and he makes a mistake or two it will knock his confidence under the high balls.
Bellamy knew by putting Munster at the back that the attention would be taken away from Coates and it was. He didn't do that much work coming out of his end and was fresh for the intercept and for the kicks on our try line.

He was on for 20 minutes and they scored in the 8th and 13th minute he was on. The first was because of Talagi pushing a pass. But that pass was pushed because we were really struggling for territory at that point. Momentum had seung Storm way. Because our middle went to shit.

I wanted to point this exact passage out. We were well on top. Edwards had just made a mini break and we were surging upfield.

Then the ball went to Eiso, who took a very soft and half hearted hit up. Made no impact and a slow play the ball. However because the team thought that the we still had momentum and that the Storm were struggling to set a line onside, we pushed the ball too quickly to the right., but it wasn't the right play because the Storm were set defensively and we paid the price with the Talagi error.

If any of our other forwards took that hit up - that sequence never happens.

Did anyone feel the game was low key? I mean the commentators made it out to be high class. I felt we took it easy in the 2nd half thinking they got this from the 1st half. We needed a loss before the semi, but I didn't want this one to be it though..

It is a stupid rule the obstruction, it shouldn't be black and white, no way Harry gets to Nathan. Anyway I don't even though if Nathan scored that try.. so at the end of the day mistakes by Blaize, Dylan and even MacLean hogging again cost us

First half felt a bit flat to me. Didn't help that the crowd was small too. Not gonna get many travelling Storm fans and the rain was about.

Once the finals start the intensity will lift. Both sides could have been much better last night (Especially us).

My issue is that Munster was offside by miles on the play. Ash is a coward

Will say that it was this sides best performance in the wet.
Melbourne had nothing but to bomb and hope.

I thought Schneider had a great game last night. No mistakes and the Storm simply could not get a hand on him.
Ivan hey .. I walk past that corridor to the club from the car park where they have the grandfinals on the wall and noticed in 1991 only 2 reserves, I forgot about that, but that would be Ivan's era to coach.. but probably only put 1 on lol

Think Cameron Smith and Billie Slater shouldn’t be allowed to cover Storm games together. They go on like 14yo schoolgirls when Munster does something right.
Will the Grant flop get the pundit comment that Nat got when he was pushed over.
