I think it is an important game because it would secure us a top 4 spot, but really there is no reason why we still cant win it with Kingston at 9, while giving Segs a week off.

If Segs is fit, we should play him. Simple as.

I would like to see Will Smith take the line on a little more in this match. At speed. Looked like he would a couple of times against the Cows but seemed to be a little hesitant. No one really expects Soward to run the ball and look what happens when he does. Our halves taking the line on in this match is key.

If they clear him to play then we should definitely play him, this isnt the time to be over cautious.

I am quite confident we have already wrapped up a top 4 finish. Beat the Storm this week and the game against the Eagles could as everyone says, determine the minor premiership as I see Manly having a very tough game in Round 26 against the Cows in Townsville.

If Big League is correct.... Boo coming 1st I will miss the semi if it's the Friday night. If Warriors beat Roosters then we should be top 4 as Storm play Roosters next week. Roosters then have Souths last up

Tough games for most from here so we can afford to drop a couple I imagine but need to win 1.

Will be on a ferry from Stranrear in Scotland over to Belfast when game is being played. Hopefully they will have Wi-Fi on ferry so I can follow how we are going. How long can this side which is understrength keep performing so well. It really has been a great season particularly how we have been able to grind out victories when really based on past history we would have been soundly beaten. Credit has to go Gus and Ivan, no all believed in our new recruits but Gus has clearly been proven right and Ivan has moulded them into a very competitive unit. Well done to all. Just one more win will guarantee us a top four spot and mean I will see at least one more game this season given I get back to OZ on 18th September. Good luck this week boys I will be cheering from afar.

PS How good has Lewis Brown been going this season. For a while there I was his only supporter on this forum. He really is quality and deserves all the plaudits.

Brown is bending the line practically every run, been consistently our best forward since coming back, stopped making errors.

I fear Melbourne's line speed and ruck control. Bromwich is good but no Fifita but all the same on the back of their rucks Melbourne is the sort of team I fear our pack will be shown up against. Being at home hopefully our energy is up on the back of the crowd.

Lewis Brown has been brilliant since returning from injury.

Hope he continues to play this way. He was slow to start the year but was brilliant since.

He has that fire that our pack was missing. We have a pretty outstanding backrow at full strength.
I'm not too worried about getting blown away now. I think this side will stand up to Melbourne. The pack has stepped up and I think Cleary is actually timing our run in reasonably well. The forwards are improving every week. To match that Cows pack in the wet is huge.
Only issue is just not having the firepower across the field. Even then Robinson and BMM can cause some really issues out wide if they can go up a gear.

I just heard that James Segeyaro will miss this round due to personal reasons.
Kevin Kingston will replace him.

Penrith Panthers star hooker and Papua New Guinean, James Segeyaro has flown into Port Moresby after news of his father’s death reached him overnight.

The younger Segeyaro, who is the third child of six children, was seen mingling with friends and mourning relatives at a resident in Hohola a short while ago.

Details of Segeyaro’s death remain unclear but PNG LOOP understands he was ill for some time.

Segeyaro from Goroka, represented the PNG Kumuls from 1982-1983.

Crap that's terrible news for James. This game means nothing compared to what he has lost. I hope the boys dedicate this next game to him. Wouldn't be surprised if he sits out a few games.

Heart goes out to the Segeyaro family. He definitely should be there for his fam now. Footy can wait for the time being.
