Gutsy win by our team last night. Against the odds they kept working well in defence. Thats the only improvement i wanted to see this year...ticker. Great stuff.

Also got to wish Semi good luck outside peter wynns score on Sunday morning. Took it as an omen and had Semi as first try scorer and to score 2 trys in the game.

woot woot, charging up the segway now, im off to the local massage parlor. \\\\:D/

They slipped over for what ever reason.

What about the terrible manly defence for burettos try.

I'm sure all the awful defensive plays from those teams below us on the ladder have been highlighted by this author (no way am I calling him a journalist), to prove why they are such piss poor teams.

Or maybe he has pointed out those awful defensive displays from those teams higher than us on the ladder to prove that one defensive play doesn't equal a whole f**king season.

I'm sure he just forgot to mention that we actually won that game where we had that awful defensive play that proves why we suck so much.

No?
Well consider me surprised.

Norman slipped and skittled Semi. I was unfortunate circumstances which occurs often in wet conditions.

Harsh to label it as poor defence IMHO.

Did he slip and skittle him? Looked like he dived at him with both arms in his back

In hindsight it was a pretty funny set of events. If we'd lost it would've been annoying!
The positive to take away is that try, and Hasson's try. Our cover defenders wiped each other out to allow the Hiku try, and the Hasson one came from a fortuitous set of circumstances surrounding a drop ball.
Defence was very solid on the whole - really just the Foran try exposed us. Apart from that there weren't many chinks in the armour.

Hasn't been mentioned but it appears our ability to win away from home is no longer an issue:

- Melbourne
- Newcastle
- manly
- Olympic park ?
- Darwin

I haven't seen a reply as yet but did anyone else think that Morgan didn't go out when he passed the ball back in field in the first half... he was definitely close to the line but from the replays I saw at the game, it didn't seem like he actually touched the line.

Of course he did (according to the pink shirts) and Moanly got the scrum feed but for mine it should have been play on.

At first I didn't think so, but there was one replay that showed his hand just touched the line.

It shouldn't have mattered anyway because Manly definitely made a second effort on Semi trying to take him over the line. Should have been a penalty.

Yep, can't believe we didn't get a penalty for that!

Nah, it was fine.
Semi made a dumb play, the tackle was completed, had he just laid there, and they pulled him over, penalty. But Semi tried to keep forcing the issue (ie, fighting in the tackle means it isn't yet complete) - so they threw him over the touchline.

Fighting in the tackle...or getting up to play the ball?
