Today I really want to see our forwards aim up in the middle with good runs, offloads and ruck speed. Something we haven't seen over 80 minutes for a while now. If we do that it lays a good foundation for the finals. Go the saints!

BUT IF WE SMASH NEWCASTLE DOES THAT MEAN SUPERCOACH WILL HAVE AN ORGASM AND GET ANOTHER EXTENSION ...THE MORAL BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR

Hopefully, if the Dragons win by more than 20 today, Mary will shout the team a beer or two. Then gets pull up by the cops on the way home and gets done for DUI. Mary gone, Bennett arrives. No more problems.

If McTFD is retained the Latkens will be our centres for 2019/20 come what may.

Part of Hunt's obvious disillusionment is the fact that he knows that there's no one in the backline who line breaks with any regularity.
That's why he's better off at 9 - where he can have Frizell, Luc & Sims running off him with better speed?
Players with less line breaks than either of our centres;
Boyd, Gagai, Hiku, Manu, Scott, Chambers.
Note I agree Aitkens been in dreadful form the past 8-10 weeks and Lafai is too for a few weeks now. Yet Lafai still averages the same amount of line breaks per game as Gagai does running off Reynolds, and Manu does running off Cronk, and Hiku running off Johnson. Dreadful company to be in - terrible centres and disillusioned halves for sure.
Just putting it out there ;)

Seriously should they lose today L plate should not get on th bus for the trip home. He should be told it’s been nice knowing you but you’re on your own, see ya later.

I know we’re in poor form but looking at the 2 teams we should be expecting a win but as we all know when it comes to L plate prepared teams it’s a bit like Forest Gump “ you’ll never know what you’ll get “

So on the basis of these stats why aren’t with in the top 4?
If our centres contribution is so noteworthy in comparison to teams doing better than us then some other f**kers must be playing shithouse and surely it can’t be our SOO forwards.
8 losses in 10 games and still people find ways to justify players performances.

To further the support for Lafai, while he might be a bit of a liability in attack there's no denying how good he is as a defender. Just think how many more points we would have conceded this season without him and MacDonald on the left.

It is bewildering isnt it. I put our deplorable fall from grace down to our halves. Gaz and the $1m man have been off the boil. No forward thrust, no creativity. With Hunt completely out of form it is left to Gaz to shoulder all the work. Hunts kicking game is crap. When did he last put a player into a gap.

I say this with no confidence whatsoever but surely last Sunday was us hitting rock bottom for the year.
Will we see any sign of life from Hunt today or will he continue to look like he just wants the season over.
What an absolutely miserable situation our season has turned into.

My first impression of the backs pre game warm up?

Sloppy, disorganised, lacklustre and torpid.

Body language (again) exceptionally poor. They look like they’re going through the motions waiting for the season to end.

Depressing to watch.

Lafai has been copping unfair flak imho. He is a solid defender and is not a liablility in attack as you put it. He is one of the cleverest ball playing centres in the comp. He has pace and blinding acceleration too if given the chance. But our halves do not give him the ball often enuff.. certainly not in space. Aitken is a dud and should be in seconds next year.
