Classic Doust. That and the 're-sign Mary mid season before somebody else snaps him up' chess move, are among his best.
Actually referred to in chess as zugzwang
After Doust made his move your position is hopeless and no mater what you do your position gradually deteriorates and you lose
Trouble is Doust is no grandmaster and we were beaten by a patsy

Firstly we should play Dugan... I reckon he will come out and have a blinder.... Secondly we should all petition Doust to have this game moved to Kogarah... would be a bumper crowd... ridiculous we give away home ground advantage in a game like this

There's a plus playing at Anz this week and winning - if Manly beat Penrith we play Manly in the first semi at Anz the following week on a Saturday .. Don't underestimate the power of playing at the same venue 2 weeks in a row.

If we beat Bulldogs which I can't for the life of me seeing not happening - Id be optioning the NRL to train at least once the captains run at Anz just to give the players a further edge on the day with the home ground..

Mickey, we've gone better when you don't predict a result - so please my friend predict everything but our results for the rest of the season.

Don't underestimate the power of playing at KJO instead of that mausoleum we're going to.
We need everything in our corner to beat the Dogs and giving up our home ground is not a good start regardless of what happens after this weekend.

Semi final 1995
Semi final 1998
Semi final 2015
Desparately want payback for the way the above 4 games ended our season in those years. Play with the same attitude as against the Panthers and we will win.
Play with the same attitude as against the Dogs from the first game and it will be ugly.
Go Saints.

St George Illawarra will host their Members Appreciation game at ANZ Stadium, Olympic Park on Sunday, September 3 against traditional rivals Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

The Dragons will show their appreciation to all Red V Members with a number of initiatives planned for the club's final – and most important – regular game of 2017 as they play for a birth in the finals series.

As thanks and in appreciation, all Dragons and Bulldogs members will be entitled to free entry as part of their 2017 club memberships, with including return rail transport.

Dragons members with entitlements to ANZ Stadium can also bring along a friend for free.

There are loads of offers and chances to win, that are exclusive to members:

· Exclusive members terrace (adjacent to Aisle 127) – banner making, write letters to players, members trivia, competitions, special appearances, face painters, members wall. Be there for your chance to win.

· Members guard of honour/run-on banner

· Win a signed jersey – any member who purchases over $50 of merchandise on game day goes into the draw to win a 2017 signed jersey

Dragons reserved members will enjoy there same seat on the western side of the venue, however there will be no reserved seating on the eastern side of ANZ Stadium for the clash.

Members without reserved seating are encouraged to get in early to get prime seating.

Members will also enjoy giveaways, entertainment, offers and activities in the precinct and on-field throughout the day – DJ, community clinic, face painters, jumping castles, petting zoo, mascots, Mobsta Live photos, 50-50 raffle, 'Oh When the Saints' performance and so much more.

Rail transport to and from Olympic Park will also be included with each ticket purchase or membership card. Plan your trip here.

Additional trains will run to Sydney Olympic Park from:

· Central at 14:30, stopping at Redfern, Strathfield then Olympic Park

· Sydenhamat 14:30, stopping all stations to Berala via Belmore, Lidcombe then Olympic Park

Member discounts apply to food and beverage as well as: sausage rolls and meat pies will also be slashed to the low price of $3 each until NRL kick-off.

Parking discounts also apply for members, simply show your membership card to the cashier to receive the discounted $15 parking rate.

In what is a decisive clash for the Red V's top eight fortunes, it will also be the final opportunity for members to see departing Dragons and Bulldogs players in a regular season fixture.

Kick-off is at 4pm and tickets are available here through Ticketek.

If Dugan doesn't have a blinder on Sunday he won't go down well with the fans. I know he's named but he's go to put in 100% in, this may very well be similar to the Hayne situation were they think they're to arrogant and the other players don't like them, I hope that's not the case and this is a must win match and this relationship can be toxic, you saw what Dugan did at Brisbane, I'd rather have him out of the side, than in. He better prove his worth.

Can someone tell me did Leilua get given the 21 jumper in round one and never return it to the club, so they just thought "may as well name him there all year" to save money on getting another one made up?

If one of our outside backs go then Thompson can play centre ad others can move to accomodate. That means we can leave McCrone out of the final 17 and play Luc instead. Bet he would cause some trouble for the Dogs.

This all should have happened from round 1...
