Exactly.

Having a slow moving target that takes an age to hit the line when carry the ball should not get a start in firsts now.

Snowden was our best prop at a time when we didn't have any props. That said a 47 year old Mason played all over him for a season. No wrap there.

Brown's comments in the presser didnt make much of the neck, he said it was a series of niggles, nothing specific. So either the neck is bad or Brown still has him in the doghouse.

The bloke would need to do a lot more to move into the team based on yesterday.

I also thought Rochow didnt offer as much as the younger players, he isnt demanding a new contract.

On Sims, the bloke has missed what 12 games in his time here through suspension already, he needs to offer an awful lot to be worth the money. Let him prove his worth first.

Whilst I'm not making excuses, I think there needs to be acknowledgement that Rochow has a different role to the rest of the forwards in this squad...he is being developed as the only 80 minute forward at present, playing the full 80 for all bar the last 5 minutes of the first game against the Titans this year so far.

You can't expect the explosive impact from an 80 minute player that you get from a forward that knows he has a couple of spells to recover and recuperate on the sidelines.

His figures last game are solid (13 hit ups for 131 metres and 37 tackles) and in the new limited interchange world, Rochow's value to the balance of this forward pack will continue to improve as his match fitness continues to improve - I think Brown has a very specific role in mind for him and I think Rochow is giving Brown exactly what he wants at this stage of the season.

Considering the limited time he has had on the paddock last year, I see his motor, size and capacity to improve his endurance as really key attributes that will make him a valuable asset for a balanced team

You guys really stepped it up in the second half, and not many teams would have been able to go with you. Well played.

Well said on Rochow. I did notice that he was playing the game more as an 80 minute player that an impact player. Th one thing I would like to see out of him is more offloads. He made reasonable metres but he didn't look even slightly threatening.

I don't know who you are but it's obvious you've hcked Skeepe's account.

I agree with you. Thought we played very well in the 2nd half and not because Canberra were below par as a lot of Canberra fans AND Knights fans have written.

Newcastle were actually very good. No marshmellows playing in the middle lumbering to the line and no shaky hands and piss poor defence out our right edge.
