And the coach tells it as it is in that his team isn't playing well instead of this injury and suspension excuse which is no greater than most clubs.Or do you mean that your one man band Inglis was injured ?
If you blokes are going to blame so called injuries and suspensions as the reason for your performance, then kiss this year good bye.

There'no doubt that we are a one man band. He scored 3 tries against the Roosters which set up that win in round one.

And we saw it last year when GI's knee effected him during the latter half of the season.

I doubt that the Burgess fiasco has helped.

Fact is our backline is very ordinary.

I'd love to be proved wrong though.

So you've got a Chrystal ball and know that you won't have injury or suspension issues in a few weeks ? Next weeks lotto numbers please ? Seriously, to blame injuries is a cop out as you have no major dramas on that front.

No major injury issues?

We were down to our 3rd choice halves combination and missing 3 forwards. On top of that we lost our best player two minutes into the game.

I'd say that classifies as injury issues.

In a week or twos time we'll have Walker, McQueen, T Burgess and Clarke back. All will make a huge difference. Hopefully Inglis is good to go next week.

Sure we'll probably have issues on this front all year but one would hope that we don't have 6 or 7 out all at once. That's the point I was trying to make. Things should even out eventually.

As for this one man band business... Name me a club that isn't drastically affected when they lose a key player? Manly lost B Stewart a couple of weeks back, just before half time with a 20 point lead and got run down.

If the player is out beforehand, it's much easier to adjust. At least you can pick blokes in rightful positions.

It's also worth noting that despite all this and the fact that the tigers probably played their best game in 5 years, we only went down by 10 points.

A few troops back and fix our discipline, theirs no reason we won't be winning games again soon.

That's sure grasping at straws mate...the last 7 minutes you cross for two easy tries in the corner against a side that played in 41 deg heat 5 days ealier that also had Galloway booble the ball over the line and Richards get head highed as he was going into score..there was 30 points difference at LEAST between those two sides on Friday...between the 6 minute and 70 minute marks it was no contest. No doubt Souths will come good but there were no positives to be taken out of that game ..unless maybe Sammy has finally gotten the message

Souths were woeful. One of our worst games in the last 3 years I reckon. More dropped ball than an AFL game.

Our blokes need to bring back some discipline. Between sam Burgess and Isaac Luke trying to force the off load with 3 blokes on them, it's just dumb dumb footy. I know Adam Blair was ripping at the ball everytime but they need to value it more.

How many times did Joe Picker drop the ball? It had to be at least 5 times. He needs a stint in reserves for that.

Everytime we had a backline move it just looks so slow and disorganised.

Madge really needs to put a rocket up them leading up to the next game and we'll lose another one.

Not grasping at straws. Just commenting on the ACTUAL result. At the end of the game, the scoreboard reflected that we lost by 10 points. The only person working in hypotheticals is you.

If we are going to talk hypothetically, Inglis went off at around the 5 minute mark and it was 6-nil. Souths. At that point, we were looking quite good. Inglis goes off, players change position and our structure went out the window.

Inglis stays on, who knows what happens from there...

Picker had an absolute shocker.

You looked good after 5 minutes ? Your obviously entitled to your opinion that your not a 1 man band, however regardless of whether it was Inglis who got injured or not, the fact that in your eyes you were looking good after 5 minutes and an injury to your fullback of all things threw your team into turmoil doesn't say a hell of a lot for your players to cover any injury during a game.
The fact is that the player that got injured was Inglis and the rest of the players became roos in a spotlight.

Said it earlier. An injury to one of your spine players is a complete disruption to the team. Not only are you missing your fullback but you have three players shifting to different positions to cover.

Look at what happened to Manly when they played the storm a couple of weeks back. Stewart went off at half time and Manly went from dominant to a complete mess. They blew a 20 point lead.

In the modern game, it is near impossible to cover these sorts of injuries when they occur. Especially in teams such as Souths / Manly where they only play the one hooker. Teams like Penrith who have a second hooker / utility on the bench are some chance of covering but with a 4 forward bench it is a difficult prospect.

Personally i think his effort in the first two games has kept him safe. Considering Lowe and Luke Burgess should be dropped means we're definitely losing some depth in the forwards, so he needs to stay imo. Making him starting prop and put George on the bench.

Would be surprised to see Maguire drop Lowe as I dont think he has ever in the past.

What were you saying about Roos in a spotlight?

Tigers leading 12 nil today. Tedesco injured... 42 - 6 Warriors after that.

lol

Doesn't say much for your team to cover injuries to key players?

Rather, it just proves my point.
