Give cleary a clap. Everyone was crap including him, but he was a slight cut above the crap.

Pressure sideline conversion then a standstill 40m field goal? Very nice.

That was a special few minutes from Cleary. Played his part in our best move of the night. The conversion literally on the siren. And f**k me, I've probably seen better field goals but there can't be many. That was an unbelievably sweet strike. 40m out and the ball was still rising as it went through the posts.

There was a lot to hate about tonight. Our fundamental rugby league skills are extremely poor across the entire team and have been the entire season. If Marsters doesn't balls up some very kickable goals or Reynolds shapes his field goal a fraction to the right we lose that game. But there was a fair bit to like too. Our defense was very good, we absorbed a ton of pressure (albeit self inflicted) a couple of nice bits of play from Reynolds were the only times we were opened up. Maloney in particular no longer looks like a complete liability in defense.

That said, I thought the Mansour no try was pretty harsh. Don't see how you could conclusively tell his foot hit the ground from the other side of the ground. Thought the Edwards "error" that led to their first try was a poor call too.

Always nice to get two points, but we desperately need to sort out this attack. Not sure what we can do short of Maloney finding some form.

Cleary is a clutch goal kicker, close the best in the business. But we went close to 200 mins without scoring a try. This is seriously troubling.

Mansour scored but the bunker found a way to not allow it.

1 run for 5m from hookers combined and one forward pass.. Disgraceful

I actually thought Egan looked pretty good in his limited time on the park. Got us rolling very nicely in a few sets. Had one awful play but honestly who didn't cock up royally at some point tonight?

Katoa had a few nice touches but was ordinary most of the time. Lucky to not get pinged for a few more forward passes.

One position I haven’t heard discussed for Cleary is fullback. He’s really calm under pressure, strong runner of the ball, good defender.

Again, it’ll never happen, more just thinking out loud how to solve our attacking problems,

Frank winterstein gone acl 2 spots available in our top 30 now we desperately need a fullback and hooker yeo could be in trouble with the judiciary also.
