It's definitely not a side that can contain their massive forwards. Gonna have to rely on a bit of luck and hopefully get our backs running rings around them

I'm pretty happy with that team however now our backrow to me looks weak. Halatau has good leg drive but he is getting old. Then again he proved me wrong last year and did really well. I don't think Lovett is that bad but at the same time I don't see him making a bust any time soon. Sue though has been a weapon this year.

Any team that has Lovett, Halatau and Buchanan will always struggle to get the two points and given this week is probably our toughest test so far this season, I expect us to struggle. Good to have Farah back though

The team is disappointing...

Three hookers, but God knows who the backs reserve is...

Halatau is past it...

If last week was a thud, prepare for incoming....

I have decided to edit my original comment.

Halatau... You have been his biggest fan...

3 guys in the reserves made the team of the week and the good thing, one was a prop so why not give him 15 minutes in 1st grade? Nah let's stick with Buchanan.

Happy returns Robbie and your forward pack includes your old mate Dene, Buchanan and Lovett:lol:

Liolavave > Buchanan
Chee Kam > Halautau
Edwards > Lovett

We can't afford to carry weak links,
We need aggression, parra have a monster pack...I can't see them 3 named helping that cause at all

I have had a gutful of the lack of consideration that Sheens, Potter and now Taylor give to selecting the side each week...

The only consideration for change is injury or suspension.

Don't worry about form and forcing your way up from NSW cup

I'm not feeling confident now though. I thought he was great last year. I don't think he has been great at hooker this year. I wouldn't pick Lovett or Buchanan in the team.

I didn't see the Titans game but thought Lovett went alright the first 2 weeks. Halatau was decent in the back row last year, he's been average at hooker this year but really he's always been average there.

Buchanan makes absolutely no sense. Jordan Grant got MOTM in nsw cup last week, is bigger and more aggressive then buchanan. Taylor spoke about wanting aggressive forwards hence him picking Aloiai, then he picks the biggest plodder I've ever seen in a tigers Jersey. Buchanan wouldn't put fear into an under 15s pack. Rod griffin got MOTM in week 1.

The only thing I can think of is apparently Buchanan is ultra fit and a great trainer, yet he comes on for a 20 minute cameo. If you're only going to use a guy fro 20 mins why pick a slow, small prop who provides no impact?

I don't think the eels have been that great. They got home via maxwell v the Cowboys and the dogs were beyond horrible yet they scored 1 try in 68 mins off a bomb. If we didn't have such a weak back row I'd be ultra confident but Edwards and Mau will have a field day. Be surprised if we get up.

Oh how quickly we fall. I get the feeling that we are shaping up for another similar year to last year. We had some great wins at the start due to throwing the football around, but we spill 20+ points a game like it is nothing.

We will put 10 on the Eels in the first 15 minutes then watch them come back and make it 42-10

This could get as ugly as the day the great Tim Shines played Danny Galea at prop against Parramatta.

Jack Buchannan has to be the biggest head scratching selection since Chris Patterson (was that his name?) back in the early to mid '00's

Woods , Grant and Sue can only carry the load for so long , and as the weeks go by they will become sick of being battered and the team will drop to the predicted bottom :(

Well its a backrow that offers little, which is slightly better than JB who offers nothing...for the life of me if your coach job is on the line why wouldn't you pick some forwards who carry some mongrel in them rather then forwards who carry handbags...!

I agree with those changes.

Farah's return will be great for Woods. God that backrow is pathetic.

Fmd !! We have been critical of Buchanan's inclusion for a couple of years now ... what gives ??
I HAVE NOT SEEN A SINGLE GAME IN ALL GRADES THAT WARRANT AN NRL CAREER !! Surely Nepotism has to be playing its part ?
