Beau "The Hit Man" Scott will take Moses outta the game early

Don't think he's all that intimidating, all he's ever done is hit Thurston late illegally once or twice in an origin a couple years back and got tackled a few times then been labelled the "toughest" player in the game

Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor says Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses will still call the shots

Michael Chammas

Robbie Farah will make his return to the Wests Tigers on Easter Monday, but don't mistake the hooker's return for a changing of the guard.
The former skipper has long been central to everything in the Tigers attack, but in his absence during the first three weeks halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses have been calling the shots with a fair degree of success.
Tigers coach Jason Taylor has been pleased with the development of his young playmakers and insists little will change with Farah back in the side.
"The way we have played has developed from the start of last season to this point and has been a continual development, slowly but surely the halves have got more confidence," Taylor said at the Tigers' captain's run at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.
"But it is clear we want to get them the ball and to be in charge and Robbie understands that. Robbie also understands that when he sees an opportunity to play the best footy that Robbie Farah can play, we want him to do that. We have to find that balance. It is about the synergy of the team, getting the pieces to get it together."
There is a suggestion Farah could be relegated to the bench for Monday's game against Parramatta. However, Taylor remains coy on the Tigers' plans.
"We will let you guys know what the team is an hour before the game. Those are the rules," Taylor said.
While the Tigers have been brilliant in patches with the football this season, they are yet to string a complete performance together.
However, Eels coach Brad Arthur remains wary of what the Tigers will throw at them, especially with Farah back in the mix.
"We've been doing okay in our defence, but we're going to be tested tomorrow," Arthur said.
"They're second for all the attacking stats, so they've been playing some really good footy. Their two halves are playing nice and fast, and nice and direct. With [Robbie] Farah back in there he'll give them a bit of spark around the ruck, so we're going to have to be really good in our defence.
"It's been a good 10 days to get over a couple of tough games and rest up their bodies a little bit, so we should be nice and fresh going into tomorrow's clash."

Yes playing a SOO hooker on the bench behind DH makes a lot of sense if you want to lose, cant imagine Parra telling Foran your starting from the bench.

900k tough as teak soo hooker starting from bench to make way for a defence shy cherrington against a rugged pack yeah that makes enormous sense.I will believe it when see it coz I don't even believe an intellectually challenged coach like Taylor could be that profoundly moronic.

Diabolical. That game needs to be forgotten asap

Proud of our forwards I really didn't think they'd match it but thought they held their own, but our backs on the other hand were complete shit house, back to simple catching and passing drills for them me thinks.

Rankin is treading thin ice

Also how fitting Buchanans first hit up ends in a drop ball

Robbie Farrah only showed up for his paycheck. Maybe Taylor was right to ask him to go. As soon as Cherrington came on we went forward. Pitty it was only 70 minutes too late.

Unlike last week, the forwards did all they could and enough to win the game.

Brooks and Moses were shocking... At this stage of their careers I can't come up with any more excuses to defend them..

If they want more money next year let them go...

Why pick Cherrington at all to play the last 8 mins and as the third hooker?

Taylor is a goose...

Brooks had the worst first half that I have seen a play in a long long time. Moses had the worst second half to back up his mate.

I thought Robbie was great. If the team had performed alongside him we would have at least scored some points.

As for JT I honestly think he is just a terrible coach. 2 hookers on the bench. He constantly goes on about defence and toughness and the rest of it but none of it means jack shit if you can't score points.

To prove a point to the crowd crowing in support of Farrah?

I'm no fan of Taylor myself but the blokes been backed in to a corner with Farrah and there is no escape.

At least a third of this team wouldn't be getting a run at any other club. Our attack relies on Teddy and Moses to pull something out of their arse, the rest are basically passengers.

The impression I get of JT is that he has to prove his point. Winning is less important to him than being right.

He is a complete and utter tard.

Farah is a much better defender than Cherrington in the middle.

I would hope Cherrington would be going OK in the last 10 mins considering he was fresh, and Parra were buggered playing with a compromised bench...

Taylor hasn't had the confidence to pick Cherry to start the game, even when Farah was out...

Farrah didn't even start today.

His service was too slow, he got in the way, Moses was under pressure all game compared to the last few weeksff

I'm not doubting Farrah is a better defender but he does not fit culturally into the make up of the side anymore.

The fraction are pushing for Farrah keep waxing lyrical he that he is the SOO hooker, but the way he is going he won't be there this year.

Anyways moving on, Brooks either has no confidence or isn't up to it. Back to reggies for a week or two.

Certainly agree that Farah is past his best... But the question is does Cherrington offer more ?

I'm not so sure based on what I have seen so far this year, and for mine it's a big concern that Taylor lacks confidence in Cherrington not picking him to start and only playing limited minutes..

What really concerns me is that Farah is still under contract next year at $950k, and if he doesn't want to leave, then I can't see what anybody can do about it...

Get rid of rankin for JAC and we probably win the game. A quicker winger scores from the brooks chip and any other winger who's ever played first grade scores that late one that he fell over

One thing I have learnt following the Wests Tigers these past 10 years is that changes are only made through injuries and suspension...

I have no doubt at all that Rankin will be there next week...

Might be one from left field here but is Robbie Farrah's upper body too big for a hooker? I noticed today that his shoulders are huge. Might he be better playing a ball playing lock?

Agree on his wage for next year. Hopefully Tim gives him a call from the North of England and Salford can pay 3/4 of his wage for next year.

The fuss is funny isn't it. They look likely at times but you need to play good footy consistently to demand top dollar.
