You'd have to question why Mccullough was let go, and then why we keep persisting with Boyd.

Because someone made an offer to Macca and no one is offering Boyd anything. Plus from his comments when it was proposed to move all NRL teams to Sydney, I doubt he will go.

He will just dig his heels in and get his payout. At least he will retire this year.

Yes, Boyd will retire this year. Unlike Milford, who has activated his option. So your stuck with him not only this year but the next. He may be just about the most overrated overpaid player in the game.
